Survivors, why do you pallet camp?

I mostly play survivor and every time i see a teammate pallet camping it makes me go crazy. Time and place of course but pallet camping always wastes so mant pallets in one chase and honestly half the time y'all don't even stun the killer you buy just enough time to run to another pallet until there's none with 3 gens left. I realize irs a common yellow rank tactic but to see it in green and purple is sad.

Its one of the few things that bothers me as killer and survivor because watching a survivor waste all the pallets as killer makes me feel bad for later game chases.

Do y'all just do it for the easy stun or do you find it actually helps?

    They aren’t playing completely optimal, they also usually end up getting hit because they don’t drop them early.

    I don't know about others but in my usual SWF red ranks party we have the rule not to use SAFE PALLETS unless you have no other option and your next killer's hit will down you. You can do as you please with UNSAFE PALLETS and the shack pallet HAS TO BE CALLED OUT LOUD when dropped.

    I use this rules too when I'm playing solo btw.
