Why does DbD celebrate the chinese New Year ?

Why does DbD always have a special Event on the chinese New Year but not with other´s like the western hemisphares new year or the arabian new year or the native american new year ? What´s the special bond to China and (looking at Rin and the Oni) Japan ? It doesn´t bother me but I´d like to understand.

Its nothing, just like Overwatch and i think COD a lot of games celebrate Chinese new years. I think its mostly just an excuse to sell some cool Chinese themed skins in all those games lol.

But she didn't get anything this year lol. I don't count the Demon Slayer.

Thanks. Another dream ruined by an uncaring playerbase.

The Gregorian Calendar New Year, along with Christmas, is part of the "Winter" celebrations. China isn't the only country that celebrates the Lunar New Year - it's actually a tradition across most of East Asia. DBD celebrates it for a couple of reasons - it's a Canadian game, and the Lunar New Year is starting to become a big thing in the west due to globalisation (Canada, for example, has a substantial Chinese population). Also, DBD is played worldwide, and actually has a very large East Asian audience who it naturally wants to cater to.
