Hey, while we're at it, let's pause how long it takes a killer to be able to walk after a swing to 10 seconds. Make sure there's a bar!

She's already very slow. Adding an unnecessary cool down will make her frustrating to play.

This cooldown could be added by increasing the base speed of the killer?
It is not to nerfy, but to be slightly reworked (and a killer main tells you)

The ruin is nerfed but this badly made killer remains so.

First, Huntress doesn't need nerfs when she is one of the two perfectly balanced killers.
Second, if you're in melee range to take a point blank hatchet hit, then get followed up by a melee, that's your own damn fault.

I'd argue that Huntress is one of the more balanced killers, as she is only 110% she has to make hatchets connect or she will lose. If you're in a spot where you get hit with a hatchet and then get immediately hit with a basic attack you're most likely unhooking in her face ( which is one of her main strengths ) or doing something un-optimal. You have plenty of time to gain distance with the speed burst.

If you want to gut her as a killer than sure great idea, being able to melee hatchet is one of her strongest strategies for ending a chase quickly however its not the easiest thing to do and huntress is already the hardest killer she doesnt need to even more limited

Wait... what? You serious? Why would giving her a cool down prevent survivors from getting hit by a hatchet? Also, it’s hard enough to actually play her. We don’t need BHVR to give her a nerf like that.

Lol no, that's horrible idea. Sound about as dumb as if we suggested to add a CD to survivors vaulting or doing gens/healing etc. Once survivor does any action he gets 5s CD before he can do that action again. Sounds really stupid right ? well it is. CDs are really unfun and should be used as last resort action to balance something.

I thought she already kinda has a really short cooldown like Clown where you can't do anything. The haft add-ons reduce this cooldown between throws and how soon you can swing after a throw. I don't play huntress so feel free to correct me on this.

Its not the fault of the huntress if you cant keep her on distance. She is very easy to keep her away from you, maybe watch some guides or livestreams? I recommend to you Scott Yund or Tru3.

I don't think this is necessary at all, she already has a wind up time to her hatchets and reduced movement speed whilst winding up the hatchet as well as being a 4.4m/s killer anyway.
I certainly don't think she's in need of a nerf to her basekit in the slightest - I think she's incredibly well balanced, but she's pretty much map dependent, especially where LOS blockers are, as well as lockers in order for her to reload.

She has a cooldown, if she misses 5 hatchets then she has to go to a locker.

You can hear more than her mumbled version you just have to hope she doesn't find somebody for a good 3 minutes so the track doesn't reset

The only thing to be balanced about huntress is her ######### hatchet hitbox
She already has a cooldown, just because there is no bar doesnt mean it does not exist.
And she is so slow that any additional cooldown would kill her.

Why don't we make it so whenever she raises her hatchet several trees randomly sprout up in front of her, no matter what the map is. That's about as good an idea as the OP's idea.

The devs did this for doc and changed it within the week.
I don't think Huntress is in need of this, even if her speed was to be buffed. She is one of the top killer picks because she's fairly balanced and fun to play. Though her hatchets are either with you or against you with D-Servers

Huntress, like nurse and spirit, can’t be looped normally and so therefore you need to develop different strategies. The biggest thing against huntress is making sure you are not out positioned. Finding a safe loop which huntress can’t throw over is a good way to start countering a huntress if you struggle against them. It is also a good idea to break away from loops and loose line of sight to gain distance on her and to prevent being stuck in an unwanted situation.
