well, lets be honest, you probably only play against bad survivors, unlike myself, who struggles to get rank 1 after facing all the 4-man swf, 4 toolbox teams.

Could you release stats what perks are most used in high ranks both killer and survivor?

We actually have in the past (it hasn't changed all too much since then): https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/61114/

Oh nice!

So self care is basically ruin for survivors?

Thanks @not_Queen for bringing some sanity to the conversation. Quick question, I know Louis streams on occasion, does Ethan happen to stream as well? I'd love to see how he approaches and plays the game.

Not much has changed? Well we had Oni update, Ruin nerf and Doctor rework, thats quite a lot. Maybe you should do another one just before you add next killer

He ranks up using Legion to get to rank 1.

But you guys are telling us that out of 16 perks in any given game (remember, four survivors bringing 4 perks each), 80% of games have NO Dead Hard, Decisive Strike, Sprint Burst, Adrenaline, or Unbreakable?
I would love to see the proof of that.
You can't say it doesn't count if every survivor doesn't run it. So long as the killer has to go up against it, it's still in the game. So saying that 1 survivor out of 4 in a game didn't bring one of the meta perks is NOT equivalent to a killer not bringing ruin when the other 3 are likely stacked with them.

To clarify how these stats are listed, this is a percentage of the total perks used (every perk people have used it added together and it shows you what percentage of those were that perk). We don't show stats this way anymore because it tends to confuse people, but you can effectively multiply the percentage by 4 to get a rough estimate of what % of loadouts it is used it.
Just keep in mind that it's % of loadouts, not % of games. There's a difference between the two when talking about survivor perks since there's more than one survivor in the match.

You have overestimated the community.

No disrespect, but as a 1:1 on your comment, a lot of the community thinks the design and balance team can do better than what weve been seeing as of late. We (I, speaking for others is just an assumption) love the game, but some of the decisions behind changes, and implementations of certain features are questionable.

You get there by Sam Picker maybe

They might not be the only ones responsible for every balancing decision, but they were the ones facing the spotlight during that stream (which in MY opinion was a PR disaster)
The forums are bursting with criticism regarding the Devs negligence of Killers' fun, some valid, some out with pitchforks.
Telling your players base to "git gud" during an Q&A is a very good way to warrant you some hate on the forums.
Thus, measure your words. You DO have 2 player bases. You have to address both of them properly, you can't just nerf X side and then immediately tell them to "git gud".
And you know what's worse? Had that developers note not been so biased, we wouldn't be having this discussion.
Had it been something along these lines:
"With the implementation of the ruin rework, we'll be keeping a close eye to the speed of the matches, and we have something prepared in case they prove necessary"
Everyone would be gold.
But instead, you guys posted this...
"We changing Doc cause we care about KiD A fun. We reworking B cause of Kid A fun"
Kid B got really upset, and you told them to "git gud" (imagine applying the same logic, you can't hit SKILK CHECK, GIt gud).
Next time try addressing both Kids at the same time. Don't wait til sht hit the fan to say "we are gonna look into it, we've learned from Freddy" ( 1 year cough).
And if someone has the guts to tell the half of a player base to get gud, I believe they also have the balls to take in the punch.

Cote used to be really bad at killer but to his credit I saw him on stream last year and he had improved a fair bit. Not a pro but nowhere near as green as he used to be.
I think he was playing old Freddy which suited him better. He used to play Hag a lot but never used traps, just chased. With that playstyle he’s far better off with someone at 115% speed.
Also he’s like the only green rank that doesn’t rely on NOED. Don’t think he used Ruin either. “No crutches Cotè” they called him. So credit where it’s due.

You know behavior is helping make star citizen right?

A real rank 1? As in you reach rank 1 every month playing nothing but perkless trapper with padded jaws? Otherwise good sir you may as well be a purple-ranked noob, and I bid you good day.
edit: is joke

in the stream I remember someone saying that Lithe was "much more common than Adrenaline / other exhaustion perks", but it isn't anywhere in that thread, I'm a bit confused now.

Oh god please just stop.
3 -
Not using crutches and getting 0-1 kill doesn't make you a good killer.
1 -
That's not exactly the hardest thing to do. Legion Pips well enough.
0 -
That's my point. Even bad players can rank up with Legion.
