Wiggle Wiggle

I have played this game on and off since release. That said I know they added more hooks to the map, as well as put a re-spawn timer on destroyed hooks. For the life of me i don't understand why should we wiggle.

I look at the map and there are always plenty of hooks around. So by the time you get 20-50% wiggle done you're hooked. Sometimes if your lucky you can get 75% before hooked.

At first I thought "maybe I'm pressing my buttons to slow"? After testing for some time with speeds of my input the wiggle moves at the same rate, regardless if I press it fast or slow.

Yes I'm aware that there are offering to reduce hooks but man it just seems pointless.

I would rather have (x) Hooks and the players can only Sabo (x) hooks permanently. I think this would add a cool strategic element to the game.

I've ran into smart players, and swf who would all loop back to the same corner of the map, and before I knew it there were no Hooks left nearby for me to get the last 2 survivors. It's a neat trick.

I also sometimes spawn on Red Forest, or Ormond, and there is always just 1 hook in the distance for me to hook someone when they run to a corner.

So there is strategy that can be had for it, but it's very difficult right now. They don't want to reduce the hooks and make hooking impossible, when that directly effects the progression of the game.

Wiggling slows the killer a little I think.

I agree that is why I'm thinking (x) hooks (x) destroyed

    example

lets say 10 spawn not including basement.

now lets say only 2 can be sabotage permanently so now the killer has 8 left to work with.

They could also award killers more BP depending on the amount of remaining hooks when they hook a survivor.

    Idk Just a thought.

That may sound fun for survivor, and it would definitely make me run sabotaging builds more often, but that sounds like a nightmare for Killers. The whole reason the amount of hooks increased was because survivors were sabotaging all the hooks in large areas around the map making hooking survivors impossible.

However they lessened the amount of hooks on Lery's and the result isn't too terrible so far, I am not against reducing hooks. I would say reduce the amount of pallets too.

    wiggle points?

i mean.. you dont have to wiggle. but you shouldnt complain about getting basemented more often then.

ive had it multiple times now that i shouldnt have gotten a hook, yet cause it "was not worth it for the survivor to wiggle" (and they only started when they realized where we were going - Trappers basement) i still was able to gain the strategically better hook for me.

another reason would be when your team actively tried to bodyblock for you, yet you didnt wiggle for X seconds and therefore still get hooked AND your whole team injured.

its generally better to just do it. it doesnt really cost you anything (you even get points for it) and you can restrict the killers ability to set you up as bait for the others in a strategically good position for them.

There are some perks that will covert crawling to wiggle progression i think. I have come close a couple of times to getting off but it is so rare it is almost not even worth doing except for the points
