Whether or not the devs do it intentionally or not, the game is survivor sided.
We all know the usually discussions about maps, gen speed and perks for survivors and killers. But I want to look at another side of it, bugs and the rate at which they are fixed.
Doctor ignoring ds and basement bug are 2 of the more recent and significant bugs, one was universal and the other was character specific and were fixed within 2-3 weeks.
Sounds, hags fake/short lunge and Billy's fake chainsaws, sounds have been awful for months now and still hasn't been fixed, hag will consistently get a short lunge when she swings immediately after teleporting and Billy oh boy, randomly will hit the survivor with his chainsaw and nothing will happen. All of these bugs have been in the game for longer and are arguably more significant than the survivor bugs and yet aren't fixed at even close to the same rate.
TLDR
Survivor bugs appear to be more important to the devs.

Well all survivors are the same character, hag and billy are just one of many. Sounds are far from a simple solution and will likely require some form of engine fix. Thanks for admitting you only care about your biased narrative and you are not open to logical debate over the matter.

Doctor is one character, he had a bug that allowed him to ignore one of the most popular and powerful survivor perks and it was fixed in about a week.
He is one character
What debate are you trying to start btw? Please tell me where I'm wrong in what I sad, in saying I'm not trying to have a discussion or debate without any response is a bit hypocritical.

Each killer is part of the survivor experience, especially such a "popular" and "powerful" killer like Doc.

Survivor perks are part of the killer experience, doc was just reworked as well I have no idea if hes powerful yet as i dont have much to base it off of and ds was buffe- reworked quite some time ago and is very widely used with ane extremely powerful effect.

Ok I thought this thread was about bugs, when did DS have a bug that harms killers?
1 -
Doctor could ignore ds completely
1 -
Doctor players were frustrated with this bug?

I'm confused what are you asking

You can stalk survivors through walls as BugFace. It hasn't been fixed yet as far as I'm aware.

The chainsaw bug is just the same delay / hit box bug everybody is experiencing with all characters.
As for hag I'm not sure if it is a bug im not a hag player.

Posts like this should start with "I just got beat really bad so I'm here now"

My teams got 5 genned by 2 separate legions yesterday, if I don't let the forums know about this injustice how will I ever see my generators light up in peace?
(Actual real side note. If we're facing legion you know he has discordance. Let me work on my gen alone kthx)

The DS was probably a simple fix and why it was done so quickly along with many Doctor fixes at the same time along with others. But yeah it was about survivor bias 🙄.
- Tentatively fixed multiple crashes relating to the Archives The Doctor changes.
- Partially fixed an issue that caused The Doctor's Iridescent Queen add-on VFX to be displaced in front of the Survivor if they were moving. The VFX is still displaced when turning.
- Fixed an issue that caused Survivors not to see illusionary pallets created by The Doctor's "Order" - Cater's Notes add-on.
- Fixed an issue that caused succeeding a Snap Out Of It skill check to grant extra progress.
- Fixed an issue that caused The Nightmare's Dream Snare placement animation to be slower.
The basement bug was causing players games to actually crash and killers had a specific challenge at the time which required survivors to be sacrificed down there. Seems logical it would be a high priority. Can't see any bias in that.
The dedicated server issue for killers is also affecting survivors with DH and windows hits etc. It's a server issue which isn't a simple fix.
The sound issues they are working on and came about initially with the engine upgrade. Seems some animations were changed also which they explained can have a side affect on sounds. Not a simple fix by any means compared to the others.

That last bit was really passive aggressive for no reason. The original poster has a point: There are countless killer bugs that have been in the game for months, and they haven't been fixed. If it's a bug that affects a survivors' ability to fight back, it is fixed very quickly; but if it's a bug that affects a killers' ability to hit stuff or fight, it is often fixed much later on. Sure some of it could be latency related, but there are fixes for that. The original poster was pointing out that doctor ds bug was fixed quickly: how people felt about it is irrelevant. The argument of "Survivors are all the same, so it's easier to fix them" is invalid because of this. They do find these "game breaking" bugs to be more important to fix for survivors. Can we get a killer overhaul patch: One that looks deep into what is causing these issues for hitting survivors?
