Hatch endgame should be changed

Survivors shouldn't get a free escape for in some cases literally doing nothing for most of the game.

Back before the hatch was added survivors could hide forever and hold the game hostage. Then after that you had the hatch standoff.

You think you want that but you don't.

Wouldn't really call it an 'escape' personally. It's a consolation prize at most, that they didn't die.

Save it whenever it's brought up scrubs cry muh hatch no free escape needed. One of the reasons this game isn't a horror game

I've done hatch stand-offs from both sides. Up to the 45min-1 hour mark. It wasn't a big deal.

I found ECG to be MORE annoying compared to Standoffs. Had they simply REMOVED the ability of the killer from grabbing a survivor going down the hatch. It would have been FIXED. None of this total revamping of the game.

Now we have a problem where 2 survivors can HOLD the game HOSTAGE. Yes, 2 survivors not fixing generators and NOT wanting to do anything but HIDE.

I would be down for a mechanic being added that if you hadn't completed a total of one whole generator (either on the same gen, or just progress between all the gens) by the time end game happens (unless all gens have been completed of course) then the hatch shouldn't appear/open.

This isn't an answer, the devs could potentially design a completely different end game that asn't like it was before. All I'm really arguing for is that survivors should earn hatch in someway.

Even though its not a win, it definitely feels like a win to survivors. I'm sure you've been T-bagged at hatch before or been told EZ by a hatch escapee.
