Killer suggestion: The Cerberus
I tried to figure out a new way of playing Dead by Daylight, and thought that this killer could be it.
In general it's a non-humanoid killer, shaped like a dog. This may sound difficult to play, but a basic attack could just be a jump with the claws (while the killer is screaming), and a lunge-attack makes him jump with more force.
If he downs a survivor, he pulls them with their mouth towards a hook (The FOV extends and the killer looks a bit to the side)
if the survivor dodges, the lunge attack makes the killer turn to the survivor and slows him down (cooldown), but preventing a disorientation that can happen when a survivor loops much.
Another ability is the "Hell's Gate". The Cerberus can jump through a wall where a vault could have been generated, creating a fake-vault in the process. When a survivor uses it they get stuck in the wall and slowly sucked in. They can try to wiggle out (like killer-grasp) or another survivor could pull them out, while the Cerberus can use a lunge-attack to push the survivor into the wall. There he gets teleported to a random point on the map, except the map looks horrifying (bloody textures, etc) and acts weird:
- Vaults are opening and closing randomly (Alternatively they close when a survivor gets close to them)
- Generators have faces and are unable to repair (They'll bite you, but won't hurt the survivor)
- You can't see other survivors, but they can see you running around (They are unable to interact with you)
You have to find an exit vault (The map looks bloody, but behind the vault, everything looks normal) to get back to the normal map. The killer can still chase you. If you escape, any fake-vault is entity-locked for 3 minutes.
The Sub-Realm "Hell's Realm" could act like a survivor-hell. Vaults close (Like mentioned above), the gens are irreparable, missing exit-gates (If the subrealm is a whole other map within the game), Hooks are facing towards survivors and spawn more than normal (If the killer gets you, you get out of the realm, so these extra hooks are just for atmosphere)
This is a quite different version of playing Dead by Daylight, but I feel like something like this could make fun, it extends the game and doesn't reduce the whole game to "Make gens or get hooked"
