Why doesn't balanced work on high vaults?

I did a vault off one of the high platforms in yamaoka estate and didn't get balanced landing. Like I clearly fell, but it didn't give it to me.
Does balanced landing really not work from vaults off raised buildings? or is it a bug?

It should. Anything that produces a full loop of the falling animation should prompt it. I think vaulting off the pagoda isn't quite high enough.

I think its a bug. Walking sideways off the stairs on the pagoda gives you balanced but not vaulting off

I believe that vault is too short. I don't use BL often, but I'm pretty sure it never procs there.

Oh, weird. I always thought it needed to be just a bit higher. Then yeah, go ahead and post it in the bug report section.
