Seems like quite a few of the dbd YouTube content creators definitely promote toxic ingame behavior
Just to begin this thread isn’t meant to witch Hunt, or belittle but instead to show how a lot of the things that these YouTubers do carries over into the game and creates a toxic atmosphere for the game even if they aren’t doing it with malicious intent even through it looks like it most of the time
most of these videos involve survivors builds , techs and over all ways to ruin killer experience or make it difficult to play against theses types of players here are some examples
If it’s not to say but most of theses videos if not all of them resulted in the killer getting 0 kills or dcing or end up face camping and failing miserably but this isn’t also saying that killers can be toxic to, you have basement bubba and forever freddy and not very fun gameplays. But it’s safe to assume most of the player base are survivor players. A new player will want to watch content on dead by daylight and will most likely watch content made by popular streamers, youtubers, ect. And they might see some of theses videos and think “ gosh theses survivors are really having fun, I think I want to have fun” further more contributing to “ toxic “ things in game. I remember when a specific youtuber uploaded the hook tech and when I played killer they would always do it. Most of the time I could hit them behind the hook but when I missed they would do the tech with bt completely getting away free, I have been face camped as survivor because of teamates doing the tech and the killer would wait for the survivor to leave. Do I still watch theses content creators and like their content? Yes. My main point is that I feel like some content creators premote a lot of bad Ingame Behaviour. And it’s even more safe to say that none of these creators are as bad as the man child himself ochido.
