Remove/change the Milky Glass addon
No survivor should get to escape the trial early AND get to keep the key. Whenever I see a survivor with a key that has the milky glass + weaved ring addons I want to tear my hair out. Also while we’re on the topic of keys can you change the look of broken keys so that people using them don’t get tunneled?

No.

I don't think keys are a real problem, I just move on to the next match if they get out with hatch with the key. They deserved it since I didnt patrol gens too well and they got 4 or 5 done. I was losing anyway if that did happen

Keys in General should be changed, focus more on Aura Read so that you have Maps for Environmental Aura Read and Key for Player Aura Read.
And well, those Add Ons which let you keep the Key on Death or Escape should be reworked as well, if a Key is gone, it is gone.

Why don't I get an add on to keep ebony Moris?

Even if you had an intense game, even with them three genning themselves only to be rescued by a 3 man escape with a key? Sorry but that mindset of "i was losing anyways so why not" doesnt really work

It does work actually.

It might work when you have a Team who did 5 Gens with all 4 people still alive. I dont care about a Hatch Escape at this point either, I clearly lost this game.
But as an example:
I once had a Match on Badham, 4 Gens close to each other. When they did 3 Gens (2 to go) I decided I will defend those 4 Gens and aim for a 3 Gen. It was a 3 Gen, and I got one of the Survivors, who was dead on hook (everyone else was on Death Hook). And well, they escaped with a Key.
I would not have lost this round, I would have won it, because the Survivors did not care for their Gens and ended in a 3 Gen (in fact, even 4 Gen). The Key just negated their mistake entirely.
Keys and Moris are the two biggest things that need to change, balance-wise.

Devs dont like killers.

Aura reading is getting heavily weakened though...you can thank OoO

Keys are the problem (hatch escaping)

This is a joke posting, right? We are not really moving on to Milky Glass addon. Tell me we are not this low....
2 -
I mean, this is another Topic that Perks just got weakened only because OoO exists and this whole Undetectable Status would not have been a thing if they would have changed just the one Perk which is a problem...
But I also think that the Add On which lets the Survivor see the Killers Aura should have a really high consumption rate. But all other Add Ons, which let you see other Survivors are great and they can focus on stuff like that.

Keys are fine, if brought from the beginning. I just think they shouldn't be in chests. Especially the broken key. My heart sinks when I open one of them

I personally would prefer if they tweaked the hatch spawn mechanics and hatch opening mechanics, but I also would be fine with keys being powerful aura reading tools. I think blood amber is fine, it's not a flashlight for saves or a styptic for a hit but it's decent. If keys get better charges/add ons it should get consumption increased though.

That doesn't even make sense. Also, they are not even rare.

No, just run a red mori and tunnel the crap out of key holders. If all killers did this, they would get the message not to bring keys anymore.
0 -
I dunno, man. A lot of killers do that, and what it seems to lead to is players coming to the forums to say it's not fair they're being tunneled for bringing keys.

Good. Maybe after enough complaints, the devs would finally rework both.
Otherwise, complain away.

Hopefully the key holder isn't actually competent at the game and you lose with probably a 1K at most. Oh wait

Can I get a perk that lets me knock the add-ons off of the killer every time I hit them with a pallet?
3 -
Not gonna lie, that would be funny af. Give all the killers a pick up animation, like they dropped their car keys 😂🤣

Wait you think Key's are rare?

You're right, they should just remove keys - or make it an item unavailable from chests.

Moris are stronger than keys and are map offerings. You're saying that like you can't just kill a survivor for their key or carry Franklin's demise.
0 -
Keys = Doesn't need any requirements for free win
Mori's = You have to at least hook a survivor once before you can Mori them.
Hmmm... You sure that Mori's are "stronger than keys". I have yet to ever use a Key that didn't guarantee I was escaping that round. You would have to be pretty bad if you died with a key in your hands.

Honestly, I just think keys shouldn't be allowed to spawn in chests. If you're worried about keys, just bring Franklin's Demise. That's what I do.

Keys = Have to finish X amount of generators or be the last person alive. You then have to find the hatch and assume the killer isn't going to body block it. You then also have to of survived with the key to begin with. Key carriers tend to take priority over anyone else.
Moris = Hook one person. Tunnel them off the hook after and gone.
Are we going to pretend like a mori after a hook is difficult to pull off? Worst case you have to eat a BT. Just one mori is enough to basically secure the match if its done early... Unless of course they got a key.
So yes, moris are stronger. The only times keys circumvent the entire match is if literally an entire team DC's or kills themselves on the hook. In which case the solution is to punish that behavior. The only thing that comes close to a mori's lopsided effect on a match is disconnects and hook suicides.
Now lets then move onto the fact that as a killer you in theory should be generating far more points than survivors are to begin with. Even a bad game as killer is enough to offset what is lost when it comes to offerings.

Oh! The survivors are bad at the game, OKAY - yeah then the mori is strong. You were gonna die anyways.
Any good survivor wants to be tunneled because the Killer can't kill a survivor they tunnel - tunnel vision loses the game for Killers. Killers need to be smart and take survivors by surprise and juggle them. Good survivors can look a killer for a whole match, and if you got a key - then till the other 3 leave and you open the hatch / take the door.
As I said - any survivor with a key is a free win. A killer has to meet a requirement to actually be able to mori someone.

Lmao. You sound like you literally never play survivor ever. I play both sides. Mori's are significantly more strong than keys.
Key's you have to get the objectives done, and find the hatch, which is significantly harder than using an instadown killer with a mori and tunneling someone off hook.
Nail someone with instasaw billy in the first 30 seconds of the match and then tunnel mori them so they are dead in the first ~60 seconds of the game? That's alot easier than getting 3 gens done as survivor.
Keys are only a "free win" if you are doing left behind key; and sitting in a locker while your entire team dies, which is honestly more of a win for the killer really.

What if someone decides to run a broken key as a replacement for Bond or to see the killer? That's why I think that broken keys need different models, maybe make them shinier/brighter so it's a little more obvious that it's a broken key so they don't get tunneled.
1 -
I mean it's not just about skill. Sometimes you're just hooked in a deadzone and the Spirit decided to instantly phase back while waiting right outside of terror radius distance.
2 -
Yea, that isn’t a bad idea at all. Maybe something like a small crystal ball, bracelet or even a necklace would work.

Don't change the look of keys. I occasionally use a green key to bait Franklin's. Having them look the same = most of the time Killer loses a Perk slot if they do that. I always inform the lobby of course, don't want people losing their good items when I do it.

What if the killer doesn't bring franklin's and just tunnels you? And if you want to bait Franklin's, you can just put on a skeleton key then take it off at the last second for the same effect.

Once I'm in-game I just drop the key. Normally don't get tunneled afterwards. I'm also not a fan of last second switching. I think it's pretty trash tier. I like to give the Killer plenty of time to respond to my visible loadout so I always load in with my items prepped. If there's a toolbox in the lobby though, and I'm carrying one, I dump mine and go in without anything.
Baiting Franklin's is just part of that though. I'm fully prepared for anything the Killer decides to do in response to me bringing a key, even a green one. It's all part of the game though. Little bit of Lobby Mindgames is kinda fun sometimes. Especially when it works and you've bought your team a little bit of an edge because the Killer brought a Perk that is now useless.
