Anyone else keeping up with OWL?

I dont really like/use yt so the fact that they switch to yt streaming has made me lose interest, especially after finding dbd...

The fact that they switched over to Youtube, I lost interest and plus the team I supported pretty much replaced everyone and my favorite team members are gone. I used to love Overwatch as a game but got upset with some of the changes and the toxic community. Ironically I came to Dead by Daylight and commit my time to DbD like I did with Overwatch.

Let me guess... The Spitfire?
Glister is the only highlight of the team.

Indeed, I loved Bdosin, Gesture, birdring and mostly Profit. Once I saw they were all gone, I decided not keep up. Plus this was also the time my live for Overwatch stated to decline. I keep up occasionally and I might go back to the game, we'll see 😛

Birdring had a strong showing, Bdosin was doing Bdosin things, and the other two were just as strong.
It helps Dive is making a comeback.
1 -
This very true and I did see that. Haven't seen dive in forever 😃

I'm an Outlaws fan (bc it's my city) and NYXL.
I'm so glad they picked up MekO. Off-tank was always weak. And Rapel will give Rawkus some competition.

Very nice, not bad teams to root for =D
Can we also talk about how Shanghai kicked butt last year? Like wow what a comeback!

They finally got it together.
Unfortunately they traded Gamsu to the Fuel. It's a shame.
1 -
Ah, man. That is a shame. I was never a fan of Dallas Fuel especially with a certain team member they had. 😡

xQc got a league ban in, like, season 1. He hasn't been in the team for a while.
1 -
Oh I know he hasn't been but I never really liked done of the other team members. Seagull was the only one I could stand.
1 -
I mean, Decay and Unkoe aren't bad either. The team is kinda terrible this year.
Honestly the only team doing worse is Boston.
0 -
Really? Boston? That's actually kind of surprising! They were doing pretty good.

Colourhex, Jerry, Munchkin, Mouffin, Axxiom, Fusions, Brussen, Swimmer, and Myunbong.
Not so good.

That's disappointing to hear. I just keep holding out hope that Shanghai Dragons will win OWL.

Even though they lost Gamsu, they made up for it with Void, a great replacement. Plus a new flex support, Leejaegon.
0 -
Oh dang! Gamsu was good but I'm glad they got a good strong replacement! As long as they keep on going, I'll root for them 😁

They're a top 5 team this year. Only Philly, NYXL, ATL, and SFS beat them
Watch this.

I totally forgot: The Dragons also aquired Fleta.
That says it all.

It's amazing how far some of these teams have come. Like wow.

I wanted to Necro this thread, in case anyone wanted to talk about the season in progress.

I don’t think my team is gonna win tbh

Who?

The sparks

They're top 10 tbh. Guxue will carry. They just got 0-3'd by Seoul today. Then again, Seoul is top 3.
1 -
I don’t expect them to win but I like their color scheme

@Foxfire47 I wanted to update you on your teams.
- The Shanghai Dragons are in 1st place. They're seriously one of the greats to win it all.
- Profit, Gesture, and Bdosin are all on Seoul after London. Seoul is in 2nd.
1 -
Thanks for the update, man! ^^ I really appreciate it! I'm so proud of Shanghai!

Something huge happened. The Vancouver Titans suddenly broke up and have been replaced by an entirely Western roster. Details are fuzzy, but it appears tension had been building for a long time.
1 -
HOLY CRAP o.o that's... insane. They were doing pretty good for awhile too

This weekend resumes regular season matches. Some notable events:
- Monthly tournaments are permanent
- Sparkle is now of age and can play in the Overwatch League. He was the most hyped DPS of the off-season and is ready to perform.
- The new Vancouver Titans are improving at an alarming rate. They were all league ready.
1 -
As always, thank you for the update, Awakey. I appreciate it a lot. That is a lot for updates! That's good that the Titans are improving in an insane amount of time! Ironically, I actually took a break from DbD and went back to playing OW for a bit for the anniversary :P

So monthly tournaments are now a thing. Here's the results of the last 2:
- The May-lee went exactly as expected. The Shock in NA and Shanghai in APAC. The Shanghai Dragons proved they have the mental fortitude of the century by reverse sweeping the Seoul Dynasty 4-3.
- The Summer Showdown had so many upsets. The Shock lost 2-3 to a full strength Paris Eternal running an all-too familiar genji dive. Yes, Sp9rk1e is of age and dominated. The Toronto Defiant were surprisingly good, I guess everyone forgot about Agilities being the best Western Genji in the league.
- The finals between the Eternal and Philly was a back-and-forth 7 map affair where Paris barely, and I mean BARELY prevailed, getting those sweet bonus wins.
- The APAC region was... Boring. Everything went basically as expected, except the finals where Guangzhou beat Shanghai 4-2. Nothing special.
- Oh yeah, and the Shock are holding open tryouts. That's important... I guess.

I wanted to revive these thread (and let @Foxfire47 know) that SEASON 4 has begun.
