Your thoughts on new Doctor? Worth investing in?
I have yet to play as the new Doctor, and he's kind of annoying to go against, but he nontheless looks fun to play as!
I saw someone using the distressing + unnerving presence combo and it looked wild. Whispers, overcharge and pgtw seem solid on him. The way he can also shut down pallets looked really nice.
I have 550k bp to burn. Are you enjoying playing as the new Doctor?

whispers might be a waste of a perk now. I ran it on the old doc so i knew to go into treatment mode when i heard the perk go off as that built madness. But now with the new tech you can do a blast and hope people are in it.

I love the new doctor, and I would definitely recommend giving him a spin because I honestly don't see enough of them when I play survivor.
He is also really versatile, in the sense that he responds well to a lot of different builds and playstyles, with his addons allowing for even more flexibility. I'm pretty much in the position nowadays where I only want to play doctor, although that could just be because he fits my preferred playstyle well.
My personal build is PGTW, Dark Devotion, Infectious Fright and Nurses Calling, with any Order and Restraint Addons (The order addon is important). This lets you keep everyone in madness 2 pretty constantly, and pretty much lets you know where everyone is without them knowing where you are.
Another build I like is "Silent Doc", Stack 2 calm addons, and then Monitor and Abuse, then pick your favourite non-terror radius perks. You will have virtually no terror radius whilst your power is on cooldown, so you can sneak up to survivors to spook the daylights out of them, it's pretty fun.
I could go on about doctor builds for ages honestly, but its worth giving him a spin to see for yourself.

I hated him when I first tried him, but he's become one of my favorite killers. I use corrupt, bbq, devour hope, and pop. If you can defend devour and keep people off from it with shock, he's nearly unstoppable.

YES! He is awesome! Doctor has good map pressure, chase potential, and tracking. My preferred build is BBQ, Distressing, Unnerving Presence, and Overcharge with Iridescent King and Iridescent Queen. If you don't like the ridiculously short base shock range, then you can switch out Iridescent Queen for Moldy Electrode.

He’s a blast to play. I thought the loss of his static field was going to be a detriment, when in fact I rather enjoy the on demand tracking of static blast. If it hits, the survivor screams (unless they use calm spirit), and you now have a general direction to go in.
The hardest thing to master with the doc is action cancelling. Meaning blasting someone with his shock to stop a survivor from vaulting/pallet slamming. The static shock has a travel time, and you have to hit the survivor with absolute precision and timing to make it work right. When it does work, however, it makes you feel very good as you club em in the face.

Why would you combine M&A with Distressing?
Personally, I enjoy new doc. I use Distressing, PGTW, BBQ, and Sloppy. If I'm feeling really diabolical, I'll swap out BBQ and Sloppy for Lullaby and Overwhelming.

Good to hear. I think I'll give it a go. Sounds like overwhelming presence is a bit niche/not mandatory. I can wait for the shrine.

Personally playing Doctor hasn't changed much for me. I still shock survivors, and 1 second later they still put the pallet down, or vault the window. Dedicated servers killed any enjoyment I had with Doc for sure.
