Why is there so little killers at high ranks

It's an absolute shame that if the survivors are playing decently, you'll get around 3 hooks the entire match. And if you're not sweating intensely, that means that you'll get 0 kills. Like, it feels like you have to be super rude to get anything more than a 2k, and that's mainly people getting overly greedy in EGC.

Killers are mad that they gotta sweat for the win. Go play literally any multiplayer game tho and tell me how far you get "taking your time". I promise you will get destroyed because that's just how people play games. Maybe dbd should have a casual or perkless mode for players on both sides who don't like to sweat

It's hard for rank 13 Johhny no Kill to kill anyone and rank up when he only gets 4 Red Rank SWF survivors that run him for 5 gens.
They coordinate so much even if he downs someone, they body block hooks and swap out so that he can never even hook a survivor once. Johnny disconnect sometimes because he is really sad at these matchups after about a dozen of them, making him de-rank further still.
Johnny stops playing killer because he is frustrated and not having fun anymore, so he swaps to survivor. The amount of survivors looking for games goes up while killers in games goes down.

That's not even accurate tbh.
I still think it's due to the SWF rank averaging being removed.

No, it's pretty spot on it's be real.
That is probably a large part of it too though yeah.

Idk if only survivors were struggling to get matches, I'd agree with you.
However, red rank survivors AND brown rank killers are struggling to get matches. Both extremes are getting long queues. Not just a lack of killers problem.

DBD isn't "literally any multiplayer game". it's an asymmetric game, but one with a flawed design where the team that should be weaker (survivors) is stronger than what is advertised as the "power role" and one side completely dictates the flow of the game.
in CSS, the CTs don't have more power than the Ts. in Overwatch, the defending team can't steamroll the attacking team without putting in more effort. things are more even in other multiplayer games from the get go. but it's increasingly apparent that the "balance" of the game only goes one direction, with the Killer role repeatedly dumped on.

SUrVivOrs sHoULD bE WEaAkeR - why?
Are we going to pretend they didn't buff Freddy, Ruin, and Doc. Not to mention BL and instaheal nerfs. Sorry you're not getting easy 4ks little buddy, must be the game imbalance. I'll start a petition for all us neglected killers!

The fact you think they buffed ruin tells us all we need to know about your biases

On the contrary...

The ranking system is broken and useless.
Makes no sense that you can survive a match with over 20k blood points and don't get rank progress, and then on the next match you die with 15k and get progress.
That's why so many people make it to high ranks, progress doesn't not mean skill in a loooot of cases

Because the devs are idiots who ignore their playbase and jack off in tubs of money instead

"Survivors should by default be weaker", lmfao, if you have ever played overwatch you will know that attacking or defending does give you an advantage depending on the map usually. Same with this game, survivors are still so easily steam rolled on ######### maps vs a killer who even slightly knows what they are doing, and it goes both ways

yes the difference between attacking/defending in overwatch is so vast it's literally exactly like DBD!
not even reading the rest of your garbage post if that's your opening argument lmao
