Why is there no uproar about hook-crouching?

My last match ended with a disconnect after a scumbag survivor decided to crouch under the hook so I can't hook another one.

Why can't things that would be considered laughable in other games be fixed? And the crazy part? I'm expecting some dumb comment justifying this obvious bug.

Wait, do you mean they were inside e hook where you couldnt hit them or were crouching just behind you and blocking you? Because thats a perfectly legit blocking technique and all it takes is one hit.

That's not a technique, that's a bug. When a game's playerbase calls bugs features I know something is deeply wrong here. I am guessing you're a survivor main.

I think they're saying, if the survivor is blocking the hook you should be able to just hit them. Are they glitched into the environment? You haven't really explained what this "bug" is.

If it bothered you run mad grit and agitation . you can also combo them with iron grasp. If you wanna be an annoyance as well run bodyblocker hag.

It is a bug that the devs said they are already working on a fix for.

He's not talking about hook tech. He's talking about people body blocking the hook, which is easy to avoid

You get free hits, what's the problem?

Bodyblocking is not a bug. It is intended . You can always hit them, unlike with hook tech

Between not understanding flashlights and this it is clear you are new to the game.

I learned a lot from watching popular YouTube players. It’s a great way to gain experience. Learning there is better than these threads.

What exactly do you mean? Did someone crouch "inside" or behind the hook while no one was on it, or did they just do the thing where they crouch behind the killer to block them from hooking?

Because if it's the former it wouldn't block the hook action in the first place and the killer should be able to hit them, the only reason "hook tech" works at all is because unless the killer does it properly they might hit the person on the hook instead of the other survivor.

And if it's the latter the killer can just... hit them? It's honestly their fault if they didn't notice in time, if they're by a hook and can't put someone on it that means someone's crouching right behind them. They're either unaware it's a thing (in which case they'll learn), or they got greedy and refused to hit the survivor.

ah. Easy to avoid though? not really if the survivors know what they're doing. You more just deal with it efficiently as possible.

And this is the reason why I think that being democratic for Dead by Daylight surveys is wrong.

Letting someone that is new to the game influence its balance is not ok.

I'm not judging people for being new or bad at the game, we have all unavoidably been there at one point in time, including me, so I'm not blaming people for being inexperienced and for having surreal opinions about the game due to that, I'm just saying that the devs should never listen to them because they just have to better learn the game.

Just hit them? If you pick a hook far enough away that you barely make it that's your fault, if the survivors decide to take enough hits that the person can wiggle out that's a valid choice.

As killer I can only hope that I get a team willing to injured themselves for a shot of letting the downed wiggle out.

Ive never actually seen someone call bodyblocking a bug before. The hook tech is absolutely a bug. I could show you my almost 3 years of sacrifices on my xbox stats to call you out but alas im on a train currently.

    sounds like you got outplayed

So a post talking about how body blocking, a thing that has been in the game for years is a bug, and the post is basically taunting people by calling them idiots if they don’t think this is a bug? This has to be the most obvious bait I’ve ever seen in my life.

The guy body blocks my hook, I hit him, he tries to body block me again, well, I think "ok man, you want to change places with the survivor I'm carrying, that's fine by me", I hit again the body blocker and down him, the survivor get's off my grasp, I change victims, hook the "hero who body blocks", go for an easy chase against the survivor who just escaped my grasp and is already injured.

I don't see the problem here, Rank 1 trapper main in case you wondered

Or are you talking about body blocking the hook in a way that you can't hit the body blocker in a bugged spot? cause if that's the case you can report that person here in the forums for exploits and that's an insta warning in game dude
