Suicides on hook and afk killers

I think dc penalty should have never been added, I hate it when I spawn in as survivor and my teammate gets downed in the first 10 Seconds then suicides on hook because now the extra 3 survivors have to carry the burden of more objectives with less help, also there’s a lot more killers just afking instead of dcing to I guess take a break I honestly prefer no dc penalty’s

    How is hook suiciding any different from DCing both leave the other players a man down.
