Ps4 Overheating

Im probably just kicking a dead horse here but this is ridiculous. Could devs please stop making cosmetics long enough to address some real problems. Like the fact that no other game causes my PS4 to shut its self off. I can play Overwatch, Apex legends, COD, Souls titles and so much more without a single issue but the moment I turn on Dbd I get a blue screen and my console is "Overheating". I've had my fan professionally replaced twice and that didn't change a thing. I've submitted at least 3 tickets about it and still haven't gotten a response. Please BHVR, fix this. would love to play one of my favorite games without issue.

Might not be a fix but have you tried putting your PS4 on its side. When mine has issues I do that and it fixes. It'll give it more breathing room and less of an area to sit on that gets hot from it running

@KrispiesChicken I will definitely give it a try

    Hey yoooo

If ur past warranty take it apart and dust it out.

It sounds really scary but the top left panel slides off really easy and slides right back on so dust that out at the least to see if it feels comfortable to the next lvl.

Theres like 6- screws and you can get the main shell off without unplugging anything and really dust out the fan with a can of air. Really really helps with heating issues

@emptyCups Thank you. I'm not very tech savvy but I'm sure I got a buddy who is so if im not that comfortable with it I'll have him take a go at it. Again thanks.

Yeah it never does it once the game is running only when it's loading and only when I've had it on for a bit. I have to turn it off for like and hour and even then the console isn't really warm.

Seriously dont be nervous, a clean table a small bowl for the screws and a YouTube tutorial. Just the shell nothing extreme. You dont need to solder of motherboard just unscrew and rescrew a plastic box

Saved me from sending it out for repairs

If the machine is beyond warranty open it up and blast it out with compressed air. Flush the dust out.

    Lay it on its side.

Lay in on a hard, flat, surface. Dont laugh. There are people that put those things on surfaces such as blankets ect.

Get some usb powered PC fans and attach then to the vents. One blowing in. One sucking out.

Dont leave it in the sunlight. Not saying you are....but......

EDIT...i dotn know if you can reapply thermal paste but it might be worth looking up. If its more than a year old i would suggest that anyway. I reapply mine on my PC every two years. Some do it yearly.
