What do you guys do to have fun in the game?
I decided to spend the last 48hrs trying to get back into Dbd. I stopped playing for a bit because of the ruin changes, and after playing for 48hrs, I really feel like the game is no longer fun. I've tried playing perkless, using different builds, changing my mentality to get as many points as possible. I don't wanna give up on this game, but I feel that the game has become boring with the ruin changes. Survivor if too easy and killer is too stressful. What is it you guys do to have fun

Try more unique builds tbh.
I play alot of trapper, I use Devour, Ruin, Bbq, and STBFL.
The strat goes like this:
- Trap the totems at the start of the game
- If the survivors try to cleanse, contest those totems and they will spend the whole game trying to break them. No gens will get done.
- If they try to ignore them and get through gens, they get to face the most dangerous killer perks in the game
This is just one example, but running Spirit Fury+Enduring Bbq and Ruin/Corrupt every game will get old. It is kinda up to you to spice up your gameplay. Try a new killer! Try perks you don't use alot!
Even if you don't 4k everytime, thats fine. The less seriously you take this game, the better. You're goal should be to have fun in the match.
I hope this helps :)

I mostly just run basement meme builds on Trapper these days
Probably going to uninstall again once Doom comes out tbh, the game just isn't doing it for me anymore.
Hell I'm willing to give the new Predator game a chance, that's just how miserable DbD has become lately.

There are tons of goofy meme builds out there that can be alot of fun. Head on is a favorite perk of mine. If I get a head on stun in a game I consider it a win. I'm almost finished leveling up for Adam's pebble perk. I look forward to trying it out.

Pebble is meta. Got it in the shrine months ago, and its goofy as hell throwing a rock as a diversion.
One of my favorite survivor perks

Head On.
An absolutely hilarious and evil perk when used to it's maximum potential. Middle of a chase? Q&Q into a locker and stun them when they get around wondering where you went. Doesn't work on smart killers though :v

I do almost the same thing on my trapper. Except i switch out ruin and bbq for intervention and whispers. It is nice when your totem is in a V shaped alcove /kefka laugh

Unpopular opinion of mine (survivor mains don't get your pitchforks and torches on me) but I really admire how brutal the moris are and therefore if I want to make a killer game interesting I just equip a mori and kill any survivor by hand if given the opportunity. I usually don't bring moris but when I do it's because I'm thirsty to mori someone lol.

I love the pebble. Started playing as Adam for Deliverance (bc unhooking myself is really fun???) but man throwing a rock for the heck of it is also hilarious. Still haven't managed to throw it directly in a killer's face though, which is on the list - again for the heck of it.

As a killer who's had a pebble to the face, it's quite a strange feeling. Kind of a mix between being slapped and impressed. Though, it is pretty hilarious to have it happen

-Grabbing survivors of the gens as Ghostface. WAZZUP!!! :)

Right now i've been trolling the PTB with an Alex's Toolbox and the Sabotage buffs. It's game breaking that one survivor has this much control over the entirity of the trial. Like no one can be hooked so long as i'm alive, and since i'm relatively good at looping it takes a long time to take me out during that time. So far have had many killer's dc, afk, and flame me in end game chat. It's hilarious that the dev's even got this buff to the PTB it's so broken.
Otherwise I see myself not having any fun as killer anymore after this update. Survivors really never needed the items, toolbox, and sabotage buffs. I expected the dev's to know that after the ruin changes, but at the same time I guess it wasn't going to be a surprise that they simply can't balance this game to make the Killer the power role. That's one persons fun in the game VS 4 other people, and even though they say that "players play both" - it's very obvious the majority of the playerbase are primarily playing survivor. So even though I mained killer to this point, I think I am going to start to primarily play survivor, and with friends at this point. A lot less stressful, and a lot easier to play.
