Is it just me... (about the new dlc)

Or are all 6 perks actually good?

Not meta defining, but, all with good aplications on some builds?

Gearhead - legit good tracking perk, pair it with pop and you always know where to hit.

Dead man's switch - stay out of my gens, the perk. Pair it with a tracking perk and you're set. Amazing potential on a 3 gen situation.

Hex: retribution - do I need to explain?

Off the record - total of 160 seconds of distortion and iron will in a single perk.

Red herring - long range distraction, for all your memeing needs. With actual good aplications when there's just a few gens.

For the people - do I need to explain the power of "instaheals"?

Legit, best collection of perks we got since... was there ever a set of perks from a dlc that were all good?

There's always the amazing perk here and there, but when you consider the entire set, I think this is the best we ever got.

I agree, all these perks sounds very interesting. My favorites from both sides are Gear Head and For the People. They sound pretty good! :)

Gearhead and pop - 2 perk slots. Thanks, no, I'll keep pop alone.

Dead man's switch - I think it has a cooldown (bad) and pop is much better. i have only 4 perk slots, so pop wins.

Hex: retribution - maybe not bad, but finding survivors is not a problem. Downing survivors and slowing gens is the problem. It doesnt really help.

Off the record - good perk.

    Red herring - bad perk.

For the people - obviously good, too.

You don't have to use it. Just saying it's good. You can use whatever combination of perks you want.

I don't think it does. And what's with this "takes 2 perk slots" thing? If I gave you the ultimate combination of perks, so good that you basically win from the start, but it takes all 4 perk slots, will you not use it?

Imagine HG getting blown up, and everyone is exposed while you see their auras

    Yeah

    Why?

    Yep

Usually, for me 2 out of 4 perks slots take BBQ and Pop. Without bp boost the game is too grindy and without pop games are shorter than they already are. If I play m1 killer, then other perk slots are used to fight pallet and window looping. It mean 3rd perk slot automatically take Bamboozle. Dont tell me that its not worth it, because the shack window and pallet can take too long. Also, the shack window or any long loop window can be combined with pallets around it. Without Bamboozle its ggez game for survivors. Blocking it save a lot of time for m1 killers. Now we are left with 1 perk slot to play. Since I want to secure at least 1 kill and have some respect, the 4th perk slot take Rancor. Also, Rancor show auras when generators are completed.

Exceptions are, probably, only 2 killers: the Pig and Spirit.

    • Pig can deny exit gates escape with her trap, but you must deal with DS strike before the end game. Her traps are too unreliable to take off Pop, so its 1 perk slot my Pig can play with. Pop is not too strong , so, imo, its worth to keep it on all killers.
    • Spirit need Stridor to be consisten and, if the game doesnt glitch, she is strong enough to fairly quick down survivors without bamboozle and secure kills without Rancor. She can take off bamboozle.

I agree that in theory we can play with any perks you like, but in practice, if you dont take pop, bamboozle or rancor, it can hurt you every game.

I dont mind, if you share your favourite combination/s of perks. Im open to your ideas.

One-shot power is good, but it doesnt guarantee you to down survivors, nor to kill them. Its not mori. Survivors take long to kill. Myers and Billy would be top tier killers, if one-shot power would solve all killers problems.

I can't wait to experiment with Dead Man Switch+Nemesis. When will DLC be available after PTB?

    First time post

My idea for a build, gear head, PGTW, deadman switch and nemesis. Block the gens they aren't working on and go destroy the ones they are, I think it could have some potential.

We don't have an official date yet, but usually the DLC goes live two weeks after the start of the PTB, so 3 March in this case.

Sounds like it could be interesting, I'd love to hear how it works out for you! I'm always on board with trying out new and unique perk combinations 😊

If you think red herring is bad oh man you should look at today’s meta

The survivor perks are nice, especially "For the people", but the killer perks are mediocre again.

"Gearhead" is just a worse BBQ in my opinion. "Dead Man's Switch" got a cooldown and not enough payoff, especially with the upcoming nerf that keeps gens from regressing while they're blocked. "Hex: Retribution" ensures "Hex: Haunted Grounds" value for another perkslot. That's the best perk imo and it's not even that good.

Oh and the new killer is a worse huntress so no, i'll pass that dlc.

It is just you, non of hte killer perks do anything interesting that other perks not already fill in a more general way.

On the survivor side, same stuff apart from For The People which will probably be part of the new meta for some and toxic af, think about it combined with DS.....*shudders*

    Spirit fury, haunted ground, rancor.

Distraction, kobe: the perk, autodidact(is this the name? I forgot)

It was indeed really good. Personally, not a fan of adam's perks, spirit fury and rancor. But they are good. Can't deny that

For the people is pretty much an insta-hea. Red herring is a meme perk. Retribution is a one time use for 10 seconds of aura reading and your perk is useless. Whispers, bbq or bitter murmur are still better tracking tools. Gearhead is crap imo. By the time you'll meet all the requirements the gen is gonna be done, thrilling tremors would be much better option. Dead mans switch could be useful with nemesis or with furtive chase/myc. Off the record is a better version of lucky break and worse version of iron will.
