Yui's scream volume; ouch
Anytime I get hooked as her or hook a Yui as killer, I have to unplug my headphones so that I don't have my ears completely blown out from the volume level of her scream. Is this just me? None of the other survivors have a scream nearly as loud and it just seems off? I'd love to play as her more, but that's one of my main things that makes her unappealing. I've already made peace with running Iron Will on her 100% of the time.
And, yes, I'm aware "just run calm spirit," but that's not really valid here since calm spirit is more to counter Infection fright, doctor's shock abilities, and other location revealing actions. Not just normal gameplay sounds.

As someone who plays Yui as one of my two main survivors, I have no idea what you're on about. It might actually be your headphone volume in combination of the particular note that Yui screams has a certain way of messing with your headphones, similar to how a small child's screaming pierces all music no matter how high you have the volume.
I'm also on Xbox, so that might have something to do with it. Might be different for other platforms.

I’m on PS4 with high quality in-ears, so perhaps it’s something there. I’ve seen some streamers react in a similar way to her scream, but I understand what you mean regarding higher pitches stuff cutting through more.

I main both Feng Min and Yui both of which have the loudest and most high pitch hook screams however it's never been bad enough that I have to quickly take off or unplug my headphones

I agree, I hooked her before and instantly threw my headphones off my head
