I realized something about keys...
The new update to items and add-ons... Wouldn't that render weaved ring and milky glass useless? I don't have access to the PTB so I don't know much about it but don't you keep an item if you lose charges and after death? Correct me if I'm wrong...

No, becuase if you died in a match then you would lose the Key and add-ons the same. So if you have Weaved Ring, and you die, you keep the key, but still lose the add-on.
Since the Key is destroyed (removed from the trial entirely) to open the hatch, you wouldn't be able to keep it in the end game screen. Having Milky Glass ensures you keep it like a normal item.

Items are lost on death.
Items Like Keys & addons like BNPS are consumed on use, not depleted of charges, they're just deleted.
Milky Glass keeps the key even if you use it
Weaved Ring keeps the key if you die
Without milky glass, the key WILL be lost when used.
Without weaved ring, the key WILL be lost when you die

When you use up an item you lose the add ons attached. The only way you lose the item it's self is by dying or dropping it. That being said:
Milky Glass prevents the key from being lost after being used up. Only really useless on Green Keys.
Weaved Ring prevents you from losing the key after death but you lose the add on instead.

You lose items if you die, so Weaved Ring is stil usefull. When you open the Hatch the key is consumed, so Milky Glasses should still be usefull, too.
