Yes, winning is not the most important aspect of the game for me.

See here is the problem I have with this poll.....I can have a LOT of fun in DBD even if I lose....but if I lose as survivor because of BS or really bad team mates, getting face camped by a bubba, tunneled by a pig, etc.....I don't have fun.

As killer, if I am being bullied, have zero chance because it's an unfair matchup, etc....I don't have any fun.

I can handle a loss, as long as I am able to at least play a normal healthy game.

Side note: I'm gonna mostly refrain from sharing my own opinions as I want peeps to share theirs without my input.

I'm also running the same poll on the subreddit to see how they compare. If anyone would like, after a couple days I can make a post for comparison. :)

Yes, winning is not the most important aspect of the game for me.

I would like to see the results on both forums.

The Reddit poll is actually getting quite a few responses. I might just make a simple infographic so the infos all in one place.

    Thanks for voting!

Hi, can you define winning for me?

    Yes.

Curious about why the two different yes and no answers.

For the purposes of this poll "winning" is your personal definition of winning. I may try to address more specific definitions in a future poll.

Just in case folks felt yes/no was too limiting, but didnt want to elaborate. Slash, toi maybe get some discussion started.

Kind of changed my mind about them after the poll got rolling, but can't change it now. In the future, I'll probably try to keep the responses even more neutral.

Note: Posting the poll in the main discussion board has brought in more responses. Thanks folks and keep em coming. I'm enjoying seeing the differences between the two chunks of the community and I'm looking forward to sharing the results.

Interestingly enough, for both versions of the poll there seem to be a roughly equal number of responses for "Yes" and "Yes, etc."

It's too early to draw any conclusions from that, but it is intriguing. Also, something I'll likely modify in future because that does seem to muddy the data ever so slightly.

I get a little frustrated if I get gen rushed, but most of the time I feel like that's a flaw in my own playing/map design, so it's whatever!

As a survivor, I almost never play to win. I save people and occasionally do gens, but mostly I lead the killer around to chase me and twerk for them :D

    Yes.

    In general, yes.

But honestly, Dedicated Servers start to remove the Fun for me. I want to go back to P2P. At least I knew when the Killer had an unstable connection or if I will face a high Ping. Now I dont see it, I only see my own Ping (which is great), but dont know if I play vs a VPNing Huntress or somone who casually plays DBD while eating a Cheeseburger at McDonalds.

Like, there was a game a few minutes ago, got a Hit at a Window after all Gens were done, which was simply because of Dedicated Servers. Got sucked back, got hit, after a perfectly played fast vault. And after I got unhooked, I tried to escape, and my Dead Hard did not work. I got out, but more out of sheer luck, because the Killer did not pick me up.

I dont care if I escape or not, I am totally fine losing to a player, especially when he is better. But losing to Dedicated Servers takes a lot of fun out for me.

But sometimes DbD is so good at making you hate it...

Yes, winning is not the most important aspect of the game for me.

It depends on what your definition of winning is if its bloodpoints to progress then I guess thats me. if its 4k then not really or everyone escaping then I dont really care

I'm fine with losing provided the loss isn't from some BS thing that shouldn't be in the game like face camping / tunneling / playing Ghostie on Red Forest against 4 Rank 1s / Nurse not blinking because she doesn't feel like it anymore.

DBD is great at making me hate it though.

I wonder when my next DBD is gonna come along. DBD is my new Warframe kinda lol.
