Have the Devs secretly reverted SWF matchmaking?
So I noticed a glaring issue last night for the first time which got me wondering.
The recent changes to SWF meant that it would look for a Killer based on the highest rank Survivor in the party then expand the search based on queue time etc.
I (rank 2) was playing with 2 friends (rank 3 & rank 13). I was the party host. We played 9 games and EVERY SINGLE Killer was between rank 12-15.
When my rank 13 (now 11) friend left and it was just us two red ranks things changed. We played 4 more games and now every single Killer was between rank 2-5.
It almost seems like the very old matchmaking has come back where it finds a Killer based on the lower rank Survivor.
I know MM is busted anyway but it’s just very suspect that until my low rank friend left we were only getting very low rank Killers.

I mean, they should revert it, but I doubt that they did it secretly.

I saw the exact same thing yesterday. A rank 3 survivor hosted an SWF with a rank 17 and a rank 20. The random turned out to be rank 18 and the killer was rank 19. None of the killers in the following games were above rank 10.
Needless to say, the SWF won every match.

I think theysaid that they are constantly messing with the backend to test things out.

Nah it's just that once killer hits green ranks they get pretty much nothing but red rank survivors. The fact that there was a rank 13 was probably a blessing to them.

I have been having really rough killer games since the rank reset. I was looking forward to some chill games with fun builds and different killers but have had nothing but elite survivors and heavy defeats. If they have flipped the SWF matchmaking to match with the lowest rank member it would certainly explain my dip in form.
