Welp. Being locked out of a game because of a game crash doesn't feel very nice. This ended my session for the night.
How about adjusting the values until you sort the bugs? I'm all for the DC bans, but we want to target the right crowd, no?

The ban allows you get your net together and ensure you don't ruin the game for others. Additionally the system knows when it's on our side.

Xbox doesn't have the bans, but last night was playing a trapper. A Dwight opened the gate and he got chased out. I was standing on top of a rock and he saw me and came up after me and I having BT jumped and ran toward the gate and once inside started to 360 him and then boom loading screen. I didn't earn a PIP, I didn't get any BP, I lost my item it was as if the match never happened. The end game screen showed the killer dc'ed, the Dwight having escaped and me and the other two still in game. I don't know if the game dc'ed or just crash. I guess I'd have got a dc ban for this match if Xbox had them. Pretty unfair to give bans for leaving a game that has more bugs in it than the Okefenokee in July.

And when it is not your net but the buggy put together with duct tape game instead? What then? And I am pretty sure they don't actually know when it is on their side.

Don't try to provide feedback about how this game has crashing issues because many on here will just assume it's your internet.
Because it bothers them so much that the devs might actually look into fixing something that crashes people rather than punish them for the game being the issue and not their connection.

5 minutes...then 5 minutes for the second...then it goes up from there...by #7 I think it is an hour and this isn't like seven in a row, but cumulative over time. It decays over time, but they won't tell you how long the reset time is because "then it can be abused." Heard various answers...24 hours of game play and it resets, 24 hours of just real world time, a month. If the reset is a month someone could easily get 7 timeouts in 30 days. One day I had super lag for two games which made me dc...this included me spawning being carried by the killer to a hook and lag so bad when downed by the Wraith the wiggle bar wouldn't even move and then last night when the game crashed as I was 360ing at the exit. That would be 3 right there.

xbox does. I quit a match with an escape challenge as my teammates were just trolling hooked players and not doing gens. Got a 3 minute one

Five minutes is a quick survivor queue time for me. I don't think the bans are a good idea. Less people will be playing. Survivors can and will just die on first hook. I did it last game after clearing a pallet and taking a step and then getting downed from the other side. I'm just not wasting my time in that game. Thanks, dedicated servers! Killers are DCing more than survivors now. I mean, killers always DCed, but 4 out of the last 5 times someone has DC'ed, it was the killer. I had 3 killers DC in 5 games yesterday. The only survivor to DC for me recently was in a game where the killer slugged at 5 gens. I don't blame them, it was very boring.

Unless they have put the dedicated servers back up, DBD currently doesn't have the ability to ban you for dcs on XBox. Once the servers are put back up then the bans will be back. Now if you had quit a few weeks ago, then yes the ban would have been in place.

I think they rushed with re-implementing the DC Penalty. 5 minutes is too long (at least for the first time), considering that you play a game which is well known for its Bugs and crashes. Luckily they dont penalize Crashes while Loading, this is where I usually crash, if it happens at all.
But you know, when I hook someone as Nurse and they glitch out and are something between hooked and slugged (according to their Icon they were slugged, but they were at the hook in the Screaming animation) and I am unable to blink at this point, I have to DC. 5 minute wait time, because this game is broken.
Meanwhile, people can kill kill themselves on the first Hook or go afk as Killer. Yay.
