How About Data on This?
Is anyone else noticing at Red Ranks that there is barely anymore Red Killers? I am very curious to see more Data after the Ruin changes just to see if the Nerf was really warranted and too see how drastically it has changed the game. I'd like to see Data such as:
- Current Chase to Gen speeds and how much progress of a Gen/s get done before a Chase ends.
- How many Hooks on average can a Killer get on average before all Gens are complete.
- Average time for all Gens to be completed.
- How many Sacrifices/Mori's on averages are done during EGC.
There is probably a lot more useful Data that could be used instead of "Kill Rates". I don't personally agree with Kill Rates as that gives 0 information on what actually happened during the match hence why the statistics i mentioned above and potentially more would be more useful to the Community.

Honestly, they're probably not going to give out any more data, at least not in the near future. In the past, people have either ignored the stats, or tried to use them to promote a certain narrative, either about game balance or about the developers or about another player. The kill rate stats are most infamous for this. Arguments around statistics became just a constant stream of "well the stats say this so you're wrong" and "no they don't, you just don't know how to read statistics". It didn't lead to anything productive.
Basically, most of what the stats did was cause contention and confusion. They didn't help people understand things better, they just made them angry because they thought they knew more about what was going on than they actually did. If you've ever heard the expression "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing", that's basically what I'm talking about.
Just to be clear, I would also love to see more stats just for curiosity's sake. I'm just saying don't expect it to happen, because past experiences have made the devs very reluctant to release any more data publicly, and I don't believe there are any plans to do so currently.

Just release these stats more often.
Its IMPOSSIBLE to not have such outrage, if you release something like killrates ONCE.
Just add these stats to web api or archievement system, how many people even check dbd.onteh.net.au for stats. Most of these people who shout the most would stop caring if the stats were released all the tike and people stopped paying attention to them. Or if they had to process the data themselves.

The biggest argument I find about the kill stats is that people push the narrative that they are true, but it's been mentioned that those statistic's are greatly skewed for numerous reasons, including; rank, region, platform, Hex: Ruin, other perks, etc, etc, etc.
I would imagine as a development company they are taking more targeted statistics, and balancing around that instead of just an overall "this killer gets this many kills each round - so nerf it", because that would be quite embarrassing.

Stats just lead to arguments. Just look at the stats for kill rates, it got blown wayyyyy out of proportion. "The kill rate is high so clearly killers are OP!" "The kill rates mean nothing, killers are weak!" Releasing more stats would add more fuel to the fire imo

I think that's almost certainly true. But the way people react to the stats, and the absurd conclusions they draw from them, in spite of any disclaimers, mean that sharing them tends to do more harm than good, at least from the devs' perspective.
