Change SWFs to help everyone
Here's an idea..
How about limiting SWFs to only 2 players and matching them with solo players.
This would alleviate killers facing 4 people that are all mic'd/perked up together and ALSO cut down the qeue time for solo survivors (which can be 5-10 minutes at certain times).
2 birds, one stone.

As much as I despise swf, I would gladly compromise with this idea.

Either this or just add voice chat and start balancing around it.
The game quite obviously isn't designed with survivor communication in mind, so regardless of what the devs say, SWF is inherently unfair. It's pretty much socially acceptable cheating. And rightfully so- who wouldn't wanna play with their friends? But people who say SWF aren't a major problem with this game are kinda just wrong. There's almost no point in playing a stealth killer like Wraith or Ghost Face because an SWF squad will just constantly be telling each other where you are exactly.
EDIT: Or block SWFs from running the same perks.

People should be allowed to play with their friends.
Buff Solo's to SWF levels, then buff Killers accordingly.
2 -
Or just add voice chat and balance around that instead of going on about preserving your "vision" for the game and then also saying that a practice that outright ignores that "vision" isn't cheating.

The original vision and purpose of this game is long gone, why not change with the times?

It isn't cheating, it never has been and never will be.
Adding voice chat will make things a lot more toxic, but, yes it would allow for a new area to balance.
The amount of Solo players not in voice chat will leave us in the same spot as we are now. If we balance assuming everyone uses it, we hurt 75% of Solo players. If we don't, we hurt a lot of Killers.

I sort of agree with this idea, however, only on the exceptions that SWF is removed from public matchmaking (Custom can do whatever), the voice chat is local (meaning that it varies based on Survivor location) and that the Killer can hear it.

I agree that it's acceptable and should be allowed in the game, but it is inherently cheating. The game is not currently designed with verbal survivor communication in mind, so platforms that allow it are objectively unfair and break the conventions the game is built around.
Maybe it's just because I'm a console player, but I feel like the majority of solo survivors would use voice chat. It would be an incredible disadvantage to those not using it to the point where it'd be almost a necessity.

Idk about removing SWF from public matchmaking since voice chat would allow survivor balance to affect both solos and SWFs near equally, but I agree with the other two. The Killer's ability to hear them should be proximity-based as well.

How would it balance it equally? Let me run a scenario here. Two friends join a lobby, one stays on on side of the map, the other on the opposite side. Both are with the other two solo survivors, however, they're still talking across the map. Now they can relay information to each other and pass it on to the solo's. You call that balanced?

Mm, yeah, I see what you mean. It's a tricky situation to balance and it's why I don't envy the jobs of the balancing team.

I also play on console, I feel like nobody would. Nobody uses it in CoD, R6 or Battlefield.

Everyone uses it in CoD, what lmao
I genuinely can't run into an MW lobby without people screaming at each other. I haven't played Siege in a while, but I do remember most of the time players would invite everyone on their team into a party. I haven't played the latest Battlefield tho so I can't speak on that.

I've never dodged a lobby in my life, and i'm always red rank, I think it's time killers sucked up the fact that not every SWF sweats, and people that beat them, beat them because they're good at their selected role.
You're not supposed to 2K+ every game, you are supposed to 0K sometimes.

I never understood how you would buff solo survivor's around swf, how would you do that? Not trying to attack, I just can't see how that could happen

Never heard people use it in CoD, way back in the day, sure, but not now.
Never could get the rando's in Siege to join voice.

Essentially, give them the info SWF has. That's the only thing that really sets them apart.
