Is Loretta Jane’s mother or not?
Having finished Jane’s archive last night I was disappointed to find out that this is still unanswered.
So for anyone who’s read Jane’s lore, you know that she has some abandonment issues due to the absence of her mother, famous actress Loretta Lawrence. However later in her story after Jane launches her own talk show, she plans a two hour special on divorce, when she finds out her absentee mother was to appear in the episode. In the interview Loretta interrupted Jane, telling her they were unrelated. After Jane’s crash and presumed “death”, Loretta is once again referred to as Jane’s mother.
So which is it?
Was it a fantasy concocted by Jane’s father that got blurred with reality?
Was Loretta embarrassed to have a daughter who was more successful than her and so lied to save face?
Was Loretta a dumb b*tch who was on an episode of “I didn’t know I was pregnant” and is still somehow completely oblivious to the fact she had a child?(this one is more of a joke... Unless...)
Thoughts? And is anyone else this confused by this? Or am I just stupid?

My interpretation is that Jane's birth mother left shortly after Jane's birth, so Jane's father married Loretta, only for her to leave too.
That or she's adopted.
Those are my best guesses.

Yeah, those make a lot of sense, I think until there is official confirmation(assuming there ever is) I’m just going to go with your first guess.

Loretta is lying. not clear why. probably wants to hide the fact she abandoned her kid.

That’s also interesting, I suppose when Loretta left Jane and her father she might not have been expecting that anyone would find out, but she panicked when Jane began finding her own fame and made it public with the book she published, maybe that’s even why Loretta agreed to go on the show, to try and stop Jane from spreading this information further.

If you read Jane's story until the end.
When it is Jane's supposed funeral, the text mentions that Loreretta went to say goodbye, why would she go? That answers yes, it's his mother.

I think she said that they are blood related, but she doesnt consider Jane as her daughter.
