So when officially are rankings "removed"?

Saw a while back that ranks are being "removed" lightly so to speak, being that they'll exist for individual players but not display or be used for matchmaking only existing for personal goals or Steam achievements.

When does this go live? I thought there was talk of this months ago.

    Are they really, though? There's a hidden skill rating being added, which is just taking the place of ranking. Just, you know, hidden. We we can't fuss over it. Same deal, different name.
