Does anyone else have horrible matchmaking?
I play against red ranks as a rank 14 killer, but as a rank a 8 survivor I get rank 16 teammates. Is it this bad for anyone else?

Yes this is a common thing actually.
Back in late January the devs announced a rework to matchmaking that will be coming at some point in the future.

In the mean time poor newbie killers have to endure getting veteran players in their lobbies.

I think it's because we lost Killers when Ruin was changed for the better.
As a Rank 10, i have had to deal with a lot of Red Rank games lately.

Nah everything is fine with matchmaking. Obviously right now Im not playing sadly because im unable to find a match. Waiting for dlc with batch mm OwO

I play on PS4 and survivor takes a whole 5-7 minutes to find a lobby. And killer used to be instant, now it takes about 2-3 mins.

Personally, I have had well-matched games (as far as the actual ranking system goes) One game I played against 1-2 Red ranks and a few single-digit ones when I'm still a 17 that game as killer. They were NOT toxic about it, just said I didn't "need to be in that game" as I got schooled..LOL.
As a new player, I try to make the most of it regarding learning when I get thrown in the deep end of the pool.

Yeah. The "rework" to MM is to hide everyone's rank so you don't see how F@#$ed up the MM is.

They can't hide slow queue times though. Disparity may get fixed may not but there are some things that can't be hidden with the rework.

No I mean they are going to make it so we dont see everyone's rank after the match. So we will no longer see how wide the rank range is. You can be a r18 killer getting r1 survivors. Theyre going to hide ranks so you dont see how messed up the MM screwed you. They're not solving anything, they're covering it up to try to get us to stop complaining.

One of the biggest problems - I think - is that at any given time, there has to be 80% people wanting to be survivors. So, there HAS to be moments in time where there just isn't a killer of that average rank available. Only 9-10 ranks away as the closest.
So, do we want to wait for who knows how long for a killer to become available or just get into the game and have at it? Probably different feelings both ways on this scenario.
Still being a new player of a teens-ranking, I just want to get in and play. I may feel differently as I progress.
