What's with these Red Rank Survivor's?

I've only been in the red ranks as a Survivor for about a week. But is it just me or are other red rank Survivor's just extremely selfish and toxic to other Survivor's?

Today alone I had five games in a row with Red Ranks and no matter what I did, no one ever helped me when I needed it. Like when I'm on hook, crawling to another nearby Survivor, running straight to another Survivor while injured hoping they'll body block for me since they're just standing there looking right at me or body block when they unhook me without Borrowed Time.

I usually just die on hook, don't get picked up, get downed because they ran off or get downed because they didn't body block for me after unhooking without borrowed time.

I've also come across two Rank One Survivor's who were toxic beyond belief. Neither top scored and both said the team was garbage when they weren't even doing anything themselves.

I'd seriously like some purple ranks at this point or I'd even take Green! The majority of red ranks don't even use team oriented perks like BT!

Also, anyone know when this matchmaking change is supposed to hit and if it means I'll be put with non-toxic teammates?

Not all of them but a lot of them. Most people area used to dealing with potato players, so they start assuming ALL players are; and then they just begin to do things that make sure they pip rather than actually survive.

That is why you see things like self care and urban evasion so much, because you can get a ton of points and secure a pip by breaking totems, doing like one gen, healing yourself a few times, searching a chest, etc.... it gets your team killed but at least you pip right? It also is why they hook farm you.

It's selfish and stupid but it does work, because the game rewards that but punishes people who just do gens by giving them far LESS points and depipping them, while also putting them in the killer crosshairs more often.

So it's selfishness to a degree, but also the game and it's current systems rewards selfish play and punishes objective and helpful plays unless they get a LOT of them.

Those are the risks of playing solo queue and also what makes it exciting. As you load in you never know what your teammates are going be like, so you need to learn to adapt to all sorts of situations. Eventually you get used to people's playstyles and start to recognise people's patterns, so you pretty much know exactly how each of your teammates is going to play from 1-2 minutes into a match and afterwards you can act accordingly.

That's what happens when ranking up is easier than getting out of bed in the morning. Lots of red rank potatoes who are only good at acting childish and/or selfish.

Today I had soooo many potatoe team mates, it's insane. It really pissed me off to lose matches because of stupid teammates, not because of a good killer. So after the 6th round with potatoes I switched to killer. I really couldn't bear it anymore.

Survivor rank is absolutely meaningless. I can delibaretly throw or play like ######### yet still pip.

All whilst killers struggle to pip, even at 4K's.
