Lets go with crossplay. I want to play with me friends

######### no, optimise the game first!

Cross play: Meh, sure ok. I see no reason not to have it.
Cross SAVE: YES. PLEASE. RIGHT NOW. I would rebuy this game on PC in a SECOND if I could keep my progress.

I agree.

There's a problem, there's things on pc and things on ps4 that are differently. So it's kinda impossible to keep your progress.
how do you want to save the game. You are playing on a different platform than us.

I mean how does fortnite apex and other games do it?

I'm all for cross save.
Cross play however. I think if a playstation swf faced a PC nurse, they would quit dbd.

What's different? Please be specific. Console got Bill a while back, so now they have all the same characters. Also, I don't see how that would affect anything. Behaviour has all data for all players on a server somewhere. It's as easy as flipping a switch to login with an account and have all the stats and progress from that account be transferred over.
There are other games that do just that. I play War Thunder on PC and PS4. Same account, and all my progress from one transfers over to the other. Even if you are against cross PLAY due to difference in controls or system performance, there is absolutely no reason to be against cross SAVES which just allows people to carry all progress from one platform to the other as long as they have the game on that platform.

It would make queue times for killer on PC better and queue times for survivor PS4 a lot better as well.
I'm sure waiting 15 minutes make you say "I honestly don't care, I just want to get into a game."
Might as well already implement it.

This times 10. A larger, shared player base is of benefit to all.

I left PS4 because of the insane queue times and the even WORSE queue times with my SWF.
I went to PC for some relief.

Im not against it, i would like to be introduced, but they need to make some kind of launcher or something where we have to login into the game for cross saves to be possible. I don't know, maybe in the far future

Yes, they would need a launcher on PC, but I still don't think that would be that hard to implement.

To answer your question, understand that most games that are cross-platform are between Xbox and PC. Mainly because they're both owned by Microsoft. So if the creators did make it cross-platform, someone who bought DBD on Xbox could play it on PC using the Xbox App. However if someone on PC bought DBD off say Steam and not through Xbox or through the Xbox App, they wouldn't be able to play cross-platform. Sea of Thieves is a prime example of this. Does that make sense?
So when it comes to PC trying to cross-platform with PS4, its competitor, it's tricky.

It's not tricky at all. Games like Paladins, Fortnite, Rocket League, COD, Minecraft, MK11, have crossplay between consoles and/or PC & mobile.
Epic Games forced Sony to back off from their anti-crossplay/cross-save policies. Anything is possible nowadays.
DBD already supports crossplay between Steam and the Windows Store/Xbox Game Pass for PC... and consoles. Yes consoles too. Russian hackers have managed to edit their game to allow them to be paired up with Playstation 4 players with no issue.
I guarantee the devs will have crossplay and maybe cross-saves as one of their big reveals for the upcoming Year 4 anniversary livestream.

I wish they would introduce Cross-Save/Progression since I plan to switch from Xbox to PS4 next week, and it's going to be such a pain to re-unlock everything all over again!

So what I just said still stands. As quoted by you, "Epic Games forced Sony to back off from their anti-crossplay/cross-save policies. Anything is possible nowadays." Epic Games is a much bigger entity than the owners of DBD. It's still a tricky business deal, and the Devs aren't going to hack their way in. I've no doubt it can or will happen, I'm not saying it won't.

Fortnite, Apex Legends, and Destiny all do it. Not to mention cross save with the Witcher between Switch and PC. The fact is, the devs are too incompetent here to do cross save, and it would also hurt their pocketbook if people didnt switch platforms and rebuy all the DLC. Stop making excuses for them.

No it's not impossible. If crossplay is possible (which we know it is now), cross save is possible. Progress would just be server side.
1 -
Im not making excuses, right they don't really know what they are doing with cross platforms, but they have to make a launcher or something for cross saves to be possible. you really think bhvr can do that in less than 3 years? we waited almost 4 years for dedicated servers and they are horrible

No you don't understand. Sony's change in policy applies to every game on their platform. It's open season for crossplay and cross-saves. It's now all up to the developers and publishers to include those features if they want.

That would be a bad idea.
PS4 players are going to get stomped by PC players.
(not trying to be rude, that's just my honest opinion based on experience)

Sony/PS4 have launched a crossplay feature months ago for any game or developer to use.
So no it shouldn't be hard for dbd to do it nor should Sony be a problem
