Why do we have a killer shack?
One thing that’s always plagued my mind when it comes to this game, is why does the killer shack exist? I could understand its place in the game if the basement always spawned there, or if the killer always spawned there, but as we all know, this isn’t the case. Plus, considering it’s called the KILLER shack, why do so many survivors (myself included) love to run there? Because it’s a great place to evade the killer. That whole thing just feels iffy to me. Shouldn’t it be a place in the game a killer can shine and a place you don’t want to go to as a survivor?
How about removing the window so there’s only two ways to get in and out? This would make it a stronger place for the killer. You could also make the basement always spawn there, so it truly feels like the killer’s shack.
What do you guys think? I’m intrigued to see if anybody else feels this way.

Maybe let us break the wall holding the window :P
I think the draw back is the shack is a good place to loop the killer but the basement is usually there. If you screw up and the killer downs you. Your ass is going in the basement, which is a dangerous place to be hooked.

It is a dangerous place to be hooked, but if the killer doesn't want you leaving the basement, that'll happen regardless of where it spawns. I like your idea of being able to break the wall where the window is. So it can still be vaulted, but killers can also try to cut people off. I just want it to feel like a scarier place.

The killer shack is not only a strong (but surely not the strongest) loop, but it also has a 50% of spawning the basement. And the basement is a deadly place. So if this is the case, you might want to not run this loop until you get downed, and if you are injured and don't know yet where the basement is, you might think twice before you run it. Despite that, you can also mindgame this loop pretty good, and some killers are even very strong on it.
You might ask to always spawn the basement here, making the main building of the map stronger as you know that is a good loop and has no threat. And it would remove some RNG and "thrill", like you have it on the game map. The RNG at least may cause you to gather information about the map setup

See, that's the thing. If the basement did always spawn there, like you said, you'd definitely think twice about looping the killer there because if you go down, you know where you're heading. But that's exactly how it should be. It's the killer's shack, it should be that one place on every map where the killer has the bigger advantage. Otherwise, I don't see the point of it even existing.

Then the main buildings are left as strong loops without threat all the time
As I said, with RNG it 'forces' you to get some knowledge over the map. Like it should to know where the gens are to make sure you don't get 3 gen'd. Without RNG you simply have a lot more awareness without even "scouting" effort

I'm fine with a single consistent structure for survivors in basically all maps. Just learn to run it, it's really not that hard to get it out of the way unless you misplay. There's absolutely no need to nerf it.

Doesn't the new map's version of the killer shack have a breakable wall?
