The Ban Penalty Is Currently Too Strict
I'm going to get straight to the point. I do not think it is fair to receive a matchmaking lock after 1 disconnect.
My connection isnt perfect even though I use a LAN connection, and at times my router will just reset itself. It is extremely disheartening to be having a good match and then your connection goes out on it's own.
The icing on the cake is seeing a matchmaking lock once you load back to the pre-queue lobby.
Please be a bit more lenient with the bans, BHVR. Or at least configure your system to be able to tell the difference between blatant DCs and a connection loss. (This happened to me twice today and I am now on a 15 minute ban even though I did nothing wrong).
What do you guys think? I dont think it is fair to be punished for something that is out of your control.

I thought the first 2 disconnects were both 5 mins and the 3rd was the 15 min one.

That's true. I intentionally disconnected once earlier because I got glitched and was stuck in an object as killer and couldnt move.
The latter 2 disconnects were purely from my wifi choosing to be an a-hole.

It really didn't help that certain devs gave certain streamers a heads up when they or their friends were approaching the ban percentage limit.

I didnt know they even did that.

I think this is perfectly fair!! I've Disconnected 5 times since they implemented the penalty. One was actually my Internet but I got on top of it and fixed it... Someone with crappy internet should not be playing this or any other multiplayer game because they ruin other experiences. Yes, I've actually done it before. I stopped playing my favorite games when I realized I was going to have to use crappy Internet for a month. Personally I think 5 minutes isn't enough. I'd of not disconnected if the first penalty was 10 minutes. It needs bumped because people are starting to DC again on my side. If it's a internet issue get it fixed or please don't ruin others experiences!!

I think the fact that they give you a penalty for getting kicked because of "Rank update error" is a bit BS.
Beyond that so far I think the system is in a good place.

Or maybe you can get a better ISP. Dude, c'mon BVHR doesn't fix a #########. They don't care anymore, now they have the In-Game Store and co$metic$ and it's all that matters. Look how the game is now: broken sounds, ded servers aren't working well (although devs said "tHey ArE fIne, it'S a LaTeNcY iSsUe"), Ghostface stalking still bugged, the toolbox "nerf", Maps are still a #########. They won't fix it. I mean not now, maybe in a year or never.

Does it always give you the penalty? I had my internet randomly crash for a couple seconds which then caused the game to give me a Rank Update Error. It only took me a minute to get back in the game but I didn't have any kind of penalty for DCing.

Dunno, I only had it happen a few times it's pretty rare, but I got a DC penalty the last two times it did that for sure. Around 5 minutes both times.

If your connection is not perfect its only fair that you received a ban. It counts as DC in my book. You know your connection is bad and you still keep playing. You should fix issue on your end first before playing pvp games next time.

I finally DC'd for the first time the other day, but it was completely unintentional. We had high winds and it negatively affected my internet. But honestly I didn't even notice the short ban because it took longer than that to get my internet back to where it needed to be, and I had said to myself that if it flunked out again, I would stop playing for the day. I think the penalties are fine the way they're set up because DC'ing (on purpose or not) truly sucks for the people left behind (I had ALL THREE of my teammates DC on my yesterday). If it's the connection that's causing the DCs, look into that before continually trying to run a game that requires good connection.

My internet is weird. When it works, it works well because of my LAN connection. But, like I said, it will randomly reset itself at times. How can that be my fault? Put yourself in my shoes instead of projecting blame.
