Deathslinger is weak, and not even slightly viable.
I do want to ask a question to the developers.
What was that extra week for on the polishing Deathslinger? Animations?
He is just a weaker Huntress, can't do anything at lower ranks, the gen pressure is something that every killer needs, yet can't do anything about.
FPS on console is horrid. He just doesn't work.

I am killer rank 1 and with the correct perks like stbfl or M&A, if it pays, it is a matter of previous experience, I come from shooters like rainbow six overwatch and CS: GO, I have a very good aim, so maybe it is one of the reasons why which I play well the Deathslinger

Huntress has built in STBFL. She can down anyone from anywhere from the map, if she's great with hatches. Please explain to me where he's even slightly better.

Huntress has no built in STBFL. How comes? You can easily dodge hatches due to her wind up time. And He can deny any loops where a huntress is lost. Add his overly bs TR and He can even sneak up to get even more save Hits. Deathslinger is another A-Tier killer, if you know how this game works.

I've been playing for 3 years total now, I know what's wrong and good. It's fine that this is a debate, but she does. Throw a hatchet at close range, and she recovers. She literally has a built in cool down after a hatchet hit.

I know Tru3 doesn't really have a good reputation here, but truly this explains why she's just better in general. She can get more than two downs by the time Deathslinger gets 1.

Tru insisted on using spear for every bit, which isn’t needed and is the least optimal way to play him IMO. Watch someone like Tofu who lands a lot of first hits without the gun, meaning his second hit comes faster due to no reload.
Also this “downing two people,” starts with downing someone who is at the hook already injured. It’s not like he landed four hits in the time slinger got two

I love how one thread on the front page is telling us why Deathslinger is OP, and another is telling us why Deathslinger is terrible.

Clearly you've yet to learn how to play him properly. Deathslinger is a beast with the right loadout and know-how. Instead of aiming with the gun aim like you would huntress and quickly shoot. That's a good starting point. Also don't shoot the survivors first. You need to M1 them and then shoot them as they're running away.

Deathslinger can be really good with the right perks. It’s amazing people complain about being A killer when they hand you literally every tool you need to slay. He’s fun to play, ever heard of fun? Who cares if a few got out. Just go hunt some wabbits 😝

Deathslinger has some advantages over huntress
Lower terror radius and no wind up are the biggest ones
Compared to the huntress with her 40 meters (i think) lullaby that's a huge difference. And no windup is pretty bonkers. He can get hits on loops Huntress can only dream of
Also reloading after every shot beats having to go to lockers imo
Not nececarely saying he's better then Huntress but saying Huntress is better then him in every way is just plain wrong

Am I the only one who thinks he has nothing to do with Huntress? The only thing in common is they have a ranged ability, but they play completely different.
