Should it be "RED STAIN" removed or nerfed?
I believe that the survivors are given enough options to looped the killer thanks to the "RED STAIN" of the killer. I think it would be a very beastly buff for the killers but I think it's a bad idea.
Instead of eliminating the "RED STAIN", why not reduce its color a little?
I think it would be a small "adjustment" for the killers that would improve it when the chases are shorter and not on the contrary that thanks to the BRILLIANT "RED STAIN" a player looped the killer during half game.
What do you think?

I think Beast of Prey should permanently remove the red stain.
That would make this useless perk finally useful.11 -
Yeah Red Sain needs nerf to surprise survivor and Beast of Prey a rework

It shouldn't go through walls to begin with9

They contemplated Beast of Prey be Manually Activated, which I think would be a great start, but it plays a huge role in high rank M I N D G A M E S0

I don't really think the red stain makes a difference (*!). By the time you see it, it's already too late.
The exception being low settings, where it goes through walls. But I feel like the solution there is to make it so it doesn't go through walls regardless of graphics settings. It has a very, very minimal impact otherwise. Being able to see what the killer is doing through a wall, no es bueno.Post edited by Peanits on8 -

That would be a very interesting little adjustment, that the graphics do not help the survivors, that if it is behind a tall structure or that it covers the red light, that it is not through it.
I had not thought of it...

But its not about catching Survivors off-guard and grabbing them from a generator. Its about being on two different sides of a spot with an obstacle in between that breaks line of sight. With the help of the red stain, juking is more difficult for the killer because the survivor can tell where the killer is looking at (and walking to).
A strategy people use is turn around, run backwards and hopefully catch the survivors with a hit because they didnt see the red stain.3 -
Yeah killers shouldn't breathe or make footsteps either.5

That would make this useless perk finally useful. What if the red stain disappeared for X time after you hit someone? That would be a lot more balanced, as long as you can't stack it to keep the red stain gone and it just comes back X time after that first hit.

My idea would be to make it permanent and give a small reduction to the terror radius, that stacks with M&A. Or maybe decreases the terror radius during a chase.
More jumpscares.0 -
The red stain is fine as it is, as it is part of the mindgaming process. Just walk backwards/sideway when you want to hide it.

It's a really weak perk, nobody uses. Making it permanent wouldn't be OP. Or have you tried using it?

If you want to jumpscare then use Insidious (which should be changed too, but that should be the designated jump scare perk).

It makes indeed a difference while looping, but not before.
The fact that it goes through everything, even solid walls, doesnt help. When I play survivor the red stain is an insane tool to locate the killer

It definitely needs to not go through walls, regardless of the graphics settings.

guys, to remove the red stain or make it smaller is a buff, not a nerf.

I genuinely love that when a killer suggest a change to something to make their lives easier in any way, shape, or form the answer from survivors is always the same: Just run these 8 perks, break the pallet, stop chasing that survivor, and now...just chase survivors while running backwards. EZ PZBecause their way of life is being threatened. They don't like having to change their playstyle.

EZ PZThe mindgames! Killers have to mindgame survivors which have third person view and also see the red stain.
There is no mindgame. There is just someone with a better vision vs someone with a limited vision.
To really create mindgames, the survivors should play in first person like the killer and killers shouldn´t have a red stain. But unless the devs create a hardcore mode, this won´t happen.2 -

Why not keep the red stain when the killer is not in a chase, as an alternate way to see where he is going, specifically for maps like the game where knowing the killers direction is key more-so than other maps. However when you enter a chase the raid stain will dissapear. As for BoP, could be made that the red stain can be toggled as such as somebody mentioned above at will but it wouldn't have a cool down you just toggle at will; so long as it's part of a chase.
