Do the Devs Know About Their Servers Being Compromised By This New Hack?
If you look at the steam forums there's lot of people talking about it, but just to give some clarification:
A lot of people are getting booted out of the dedicated servers and given a DC penalty because people can't handle the game and would rather cheat.
I didn't believe them until it happened to me after I 3rd hooked someone in a match and my screen had a seizure/booted me out and gave me a penalty. You would think that's coincidental, but it's obviously not when its happening frequently, at SPECIFIC TIMES (I.E downing a survivor), and is not happening randomly (which would mean its due to traffic overflow). Apparently, this hack is easy to use and is extremely common. If you see this thread and know a link to this hack/ any other website hosting this hack, I would advise you to post it here for proof as I cannot find it myself.
The error that you get when they execute goes along the lines of this:
"There was a problem updating your profile." (Boots from the game)
"You have been disconnected from the game." (Boots into the lobby)
"In order to access this content, an internet connection is required." (Boots to start menu)
"You have logged out of your profile." (???) (Unable to log back into the start menu for a few seconds)
In order, btw.
As well as this, after I'm booted from the start menu my computer is kicked forcefully from my router, making me reconnect it again to make it work.
