Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Matchmaking Options

I’m curious to see if many of you feel the same way as I do. I have had 8 consecutive matches ALL against the Deathslinger. Feel like there should be matchmaking options to help limit these kinds of things from happening. Such as selecting up to 3 killers that you prefer to avoid for your next match. It’s a concept I could see happening but also having issues with. What are your thoughts? Think this is a good idea?

You want to play Doctor, Spirit, or Freddy? Too bad, a ton of people have blacklisted your killer, so your queue time is now super long.

Also killers could just switch into a blacklisted one while their in the lobby with you, making the option pointless.

Scary cowboy is new so would expect people who bought the character to play him most at the moment.

The survivors are at a disadvantage not knowing who the killer is so restricting who you play could be abused with SWFs choosing killers or preparing builds against killers.

During release of the new killer I ran perks more suitable against him and his map and did much better.

In short, I doubt this would happen but understand the frustration of oh no not the new killer again

@Awkward_Fiend has the right idea. As it stands matchmaking options to exclude certain factors such as certain killers (or survivors? Those damn claudettes...) or SWF squads are just a bad idea. Matchmaking and queue times are already not that great to begin with and now you want to add in conditions for the system to factor in of peoples "preferences" and what they "like and don't like" on top of that. That's not going to do anybody any good

Those are actually the exact killers I'd blacklist lol
