Deathslinger with crosshair is busted

What is the point of making deathslinger walk slower while aiming if people just put a crosshair on and basically aim all the time without walkspeed reduction and quick scope you without leaving the survivor reaction time?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying deathslinger is OP or needs a nerf. But that mechanic needs to be looked at. It's very frustating to get quick scope speared without time to react at all. And my reaction time isn't even bad, I tested it multiple times and I'm hovering at 180ms reaction time.

Maybe give him a little windup time but buff his movement speed. Or give him 2 shots per reloud instead.

You would have to be careful with giving him wind up.

Unlike Huntress he cannot down a survivor without hitting them so even if you do get spared you still have a chance to break it and not get downed.

Now with a wind-up this could lead to people very easily getting behind cover or an object

You don't need a crosshair to be good with Deathslinger. If anything Deathslinger needs buffs because although he's great in chase, he has zero map pressure.

It wouldn't be long like huntress, half a second would be enough to give survivors some time react.

I can dodge it, it's more knowing when he would want to shoot and dodge, then seeing when he starts to aim and dodge.

Like, you're running, you are in a long wall or something, you know that he wants to shoot you there because you have limited options to dodge, so you look back expecting it and do evasive manuvers.

Don't run side to side like an idiot, but move at an angle so it's harder for him to keep the "aim" on you to quick scope. And do a sharp turn when he starts putting his gun up.

Obviously doesn't work 100%, but it will save you sometimes.

Also, try to not give him los as much as possible

The ability to quickfire is extremely useful for getting survivors who were out of position. As deathSlinger needs this for him to be able to use his power effectively.

You give survivors too much of a chance to react they have a chance to reposition themselves so even if he does get a hit it's basically useless

Ironically enough, I don't see a crosshair being that useful unless you're practicing and learning him.

I've only played him for one game so far, but I notices a spine on the harpoon that acted like a primitive ironsight.

Since I've been playing shooters for 13 years now, it was actually really easy for me to use the spike as my sight. Being able to hit with the shot though, is a different matter.
