Keep it nice and simple, at the moment the perk is alright but it really has a few QoL issues. Here are my suggestions
- Red Herring highlights a generator red to all survivors. The reasoning behind this is it buffs the perk for solo players and makes it less likely to accidentally kill or give away the position of a survivor. It's red because other perks show the aura of a gen as yellow and red = bad most of the time.
- The second buff is to make it so Red Herring can be put on a gen instead of automatically being put on one. This would be achieved by doing the gen for 3 seconds as usual but instead of it being put automatically, you right click the generator and mark it as Red Herring'd. This buff would let you work on other gens without having to tap every 2 seconds and can pair nicely with other perks like Alert to lure a killer back to a gen they recently kicked.
- If possible for both Red Herring and Diversion give the point reward distraction (250 BP) for having a killer return to a Red Herring'd gen or to the area that the pebble was thrown at. Give survivors more points for effectively using their perks and knowing they bamboozled a killer. (Bamboozle would also fall under this for survivors getting near a window that's blocked off)
Any other suggestions are welcomed, I really like perks like Red Herring and Diversion and both are very unique perks that feel really rewarding when used properly.
