Keys should only allow it's owner to escape
This is the only way to change keys at the moment
1 key in a group of swf is just an easy match for them
Please change it how it works and only allow 1 survivor=1 key

I wouldn't be against this tbh i don't even use keys anyway but as long as ebonys are still a thing I don't think so

Agree, defo agree from the bottom of my heart
Yes moris are an issue as well, as a kller main i can agree to get rid of the pink one

That would be incredibly toxic for the survivors remaining in the game.
You can already ditch your team with a key if you want, but now they can't even try to follow you?
It would be a death sentence for the survivors left against any high mobility killer.

That's actually a really good point, and one of the best arguments I've heard in favour of allowing multiple survivors to escape through the hatch.

If it's 2 survivors left the hatch will still open in case one escapes
If there are 3 survivors, 1 escapes leaving the 2 other survivors to fix 1 gen

I don't understand the problem with the key everyone has. Hatches don't spawn until the required amount of Gens are done based on the total number of survivors left alive. If you as a killer haven't killed ANYONE by the time the 5th Gen pops off, do you really think you have a chance to kill anyone beyond 1 person you got by NOED or camping? Them escaping through the hatch is the equivalent of someone leading you in a chase while the others open the gate. You're not gonna get them all.

Unless i'm missing something, it would make keys the first extremely selfish item on the game.
If it becomes like that, having a teammate with a key would only be a negative for Survivors. It basically means that the team will have one player less sooner than the normal duration of the game, making the game way harder for other Survivors since they will still need to keep doing their objective before having a shot to escape.
If you think about it, all the items as of now helps the whole team towards the common goal of escaping (the more escapes, the better). The new key would be the first item against that, making the odds worse for the remaining survivors.

2 survivors to fix 1 gen is a very, very, long time against a red rank whispers-using hillbilly. Borderline impossible. Even getting 20 seconds unhindered to open a door is a struggle for 2 survivors left.

Would you be up for altering keys though, aswell as moris? As many have made clear they cause negative games for the other side, and overall receive hate from both sides of the community.

How about no the killers are strong enough as it is.

Keys are not a problem, you're complaining about survivors using the tools provided.
Keys used to be useful when only two generators were left. You had a slightly better argument back then. Now the hatch will only spawn when there is one left, and will only spawn at higher levels when the next generator completes. So if you have three generators completed(which is usually how long it takes for a killer to get their first kill, which ramps up very quickly, almost everyone will be on second or final hook at that point), and any amount of survivors remain, you still have to complete the next generator in order for the hatch to spawn. It's not going to magically spawn just because the requirements for spawning are met, you have to meet them with a generator completion.
And you as a killer should know this very well and be able to anticipate when it will spawn.
The hatch spawning at one generator gives survivors a dying chance at escaping, even when they screw themselves into a three-gen situation, which often happens. But unless someone is preparing to use one of their keys to attempt to escape, there's little chance you'll find one in a chest and be able to make the escape on your own. Trust me, going through my archives, I've only stumbled upon a few keys by level up, and maybe two out of one hundred games will a dull key, let alone a skeleton key, spawn. And for those moments where the escape doors are within pissing distance of a killer, it's a godsend to actually coordinate with teammates in solo queue to get them to follow or find the hatch.
I had initially thought the hatch spawning at one generator could really hurt the experience, but from the moment I started playing with the updated changes several weeks back, it's felt better for everyone. As a killer I don't feel juked when there are two generators left and suddenly everyone escapes. And as a survivor I feel like I played extremely well to bring or find a key and open the hatch when things were looking dire.
These posts and comments about key being bad for the game make absolutely no sense. It just sounds like angry killers not getting their 4K, or survivors getting mad that they got ditched because their teammate would rather escape through the hatch then take the bait of a third survivor slug.

The key needs a timer on it, like doing a gen or healing, it shouldn't be a "Press M1 to instantly escape."

Having a teammate with a key is already a negative for survivors in most cases. Just yesterday I had two games where survivors brought a key and a game offering. They bring the worst map for survivors just so they can find the hatch easier. Of course we all got killed before the hatch even spawned since if you're playing against a good killer you have little chance in the game.
