Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Freddy

Is it a coincidence that every other rank 1 or 2 killer uses Freddy. I play against him half of the rounds I play. Why? Because he can set snares that give away your position and he can teleport directly to the gens. You have a killer with the ability to not only teleport to a survivors main objective but to also fake the teleport as well. So with teleporting and dream snares mixed with Bbq and chili, discordance, and pop goes the weasel, it's no wonder everyone is using him. He's the only killer that makes me feel like giving up at the beginning of the match. Don't get me wrong, I've played against some bad Freddys...but the higher rank killer mains are ridiculous.

Not really a coincidence, Freddy is currently one of the best killers in the game, I would argue he is better than Billy

    • Snares give him great chase potential
    • Gen teleportation gives him MASSIVE map pressure
    • Microsleep and waking up help stall the game to an extent

Overall he is really good, if a bit boring.

For how easy he is to pick up, I haven't a Freddy in a while. I mostly see Billy's, Doctor's and arsehole Ghostface players.

My problem with Freddy (aside his reworked playstyle) is the snares and BT immunity. Snares are so braindead easy to use and unfun to go against because the only counterplay is waking up or wasting pallets.

Looping is impossible against Freddy because he can just spam them all along the loop. And I can guarantee that Snares are gonna be ######### broken with the map changes next patch.

A bit is an understatement. He puts me to sleep in game and IRL.

My problem with Freddy is just how rewarding he is for how little he actually requires. Snares have huge potential. If they had a bit more cooldown, it would force players to learn specific placements, know the slowdown timing and have to actually outsmart the survivor to land a hit. Currently though, its spam and go. And there isn't really anything the survivor can do to actually outplay that. I wish he took more skill to play because it's annoying just seeing such potential go to waste with his power and noobs just trap spamming and being rewarded for doing nothing.
