Why I Won't Play Chill anymore as Killer
Because survivors screwed it up.
I usually sit somewhere between Rank 2 with 2-3 pips and Rank 1. If I'm looking to play for points, pips, or just generally to ruin someone's day it's Freddy or Hillbilly. I then sprinkle that in with games of Trapper, Wraith, Legion, and now Deathslinger as I'm trying him out since I put a metric ton of points into him.
So sitting at Rank 1 and with nothing really to play for I strap a survivor pudding onto Deathslinger with some Grey addons and queue on up hoping for at least some good BP on this 1.5X bloodhunt.
I have pretty mediocre perks on him at the moment, forcing me to run a Ruin/Surveillance build along with BBQ and Chili along with STFBL. No luck with Pop Goes the Weasel, Monitor and Abuse, or Nurse's Calling but it's all good. Queue up and get Azarov's Resting Place, which I know everyone thinks this map is killer sided but I personally hate this map. Survivors know the layout just as much as I do so they immediately set out to get a generator popped on either side.
I play pretty poorly, missing a lot of shots, trying to figure out how to approach loops with his power, typical stuff, but I'm clearly experimenting. Game ends pretty quickly, all good, I assume I'll get a gg or two and that should be it since survivors got to escape. Makes sense right?
Nope. Not even close.
IMMEDIATELY getting berated for being "terrible baby killer", "tunneler and camper (even though I literally hooked two people and was nowhere near either of them when they got unhooked)", oh and my favorite "must have been carried to Rank 1". Now how you can be carried as killer I have yet to learn but if anyone can figure that one out, let me know.
What was the benefit to berating a killer you beat and got points from? The game is over, you will in all likelihood never play this player again, and if you do, how do you know he doesn't have a "list" and is going to tunnel you mercilessly if he runs into you on a killer he dominates with?
It reminds me of the concept of "tilt" in poker, sometimes tilting a player can be profitable, but with a casual or recreational player it's better to be nice to them, make them have a good time while they lose their money, you want them to come back and lose more. Humiliating or berating a guy you beat often leads to two outcomes, either one, that player quits and now there's less players to play against, or two that player decides to stick it in your gut every single time he ever possibly can.
So I spent five matches playing Freddy, and I mean dirty "Forever Freddy" style. Red Paint Brush and Swing Chains. Oh and I won't even sugarcoat it, I played like a scumbag, Playing around the hook, slugging guys off the hook then chasing down the unhooking player (still avoiding DS of course), proxy-camping around generators and a hooked player, all the dirty, dirty things that I only pull out when people really piss me the hell off.
At least 20 survivors got their games destroyed because four a-holes wanted to dick measure on a killer that they had just beaten.
So survivor mains and survivor players, if you are curious why some killers are just try hard all the time, decimate you even with a DC, slug for the 4k, don't let the last guy go etc. Chances are it's because somewhere along the line one of your survivor brethren screwed that up for everybody.
Okay rant over, thanks for reading, and yes I'm aware that there is some killers who can be douches too.

Saying you get tilted from post game chat makes me think you are actually a baby killer, tbh. Dealing with salty survivors should be an everyday thing for a rank 1 killer.

I try to play chill (no camping, no tunneling, etc) but that's more for my own mental health.
I found that the more try-harder I got, the angrier I got when things weren't going my way. I also find it a lot more fun to spread my slashing around and not do cheap tactics to get the 4K (unless the survivors are being jerks, in which case, I still will try not to tunnel/camp unless tactically it does make sense like at the end game but if the survivors aren't being jerks, I still don't camp even when strategically it is the best play)
I've gotten very angry at this game before (earlier today, I got stupid frustrated at a group) and I don't like getting like that. So for myself, I sit back, I relax, and I try not to let anything get to me in the game

If you're a red rank killer, you should be able to ignore toxic survivors. Don't let them ruin your enjoyment. You know you're good enough to slaughter them with other killers. As a survivor main, I tip my hat to killers who 4K my team without camping or tunneling. Sounds like you're one of those good killers. Never let anyone trigger you.

The reason survivors cant have nice things is other survivors. Thats always been a thing and I'm apways surprised when survivors dont know.

Oh the infamous vicious circle. Those survivors you crushed by playing dirty are the same that will flame the next killer after you. And those who flamed you after the game you "went mad" probably had a killer who did the same what you are doing now.

Oh we know, some of us just don't care. Play how you will, its a game, use whatever you like. If you want to take out your frustration on other players because of a previous game, have at it. I mean yes it sucks to take the brunt of someone else's bad mood when you don't BM or use meta perks but....you do you. It's a game.

I would have avoided the whole thing by never opening up the after game chat. What's the point? Do you rank up b by reading their garbage? Do you get more bloodpoints? No. Just play your way and avoid talking to people in DBD.

Just take your level of chill game-by-game or play some survivor for a bit. Change things up. Make an alternate account and play around with less powerful perks.
