Any Ideas for new original killer perks?
Working on a New Killer called The Shadow so I can post it here and see if people are interested in the idea of this new killer but ran into a problem. I got the backstory and power ready but I can't think of three personal perks that can be shared with different killers. Anytime I think of one it usually is similar to a perk that is already in game. So I am wondering if anyone has any ideas of good perks that could work.
ps The Shadow is a stalker-ish killer but does not have exposed status power due to the fact 2 killers already have it and can be annoying on how The Shadow works.

I have always wanted a Killer perk, that increases the Killer's speed dependant on how many Survivors are not looking at them, with detrimental effect too ofc. Idd say about 1.5% more speed to the Killer and then -0.375% reduced speed per survivor survivor looking and -2% if all 4 Survivors are looking at you at same time.
Idd call the perk, "Schrödinger's Murderer"

That is actually a interesting idea since now the killer has to be cautious of survivors looking which will cause the killer to be more sneaky and think of tactics. And maybe it can half of its effect gone when in a chase so the killer wont be to fast or to slow.

The Ravenmaster - More crows spawn on the map. Crows that fly away return in a shorter period of time.
Power: Ranged - The killer marks a survivor. A marked survivor will be followed by crows they disturb until the mark is removed. As crows are accumulated survivors are hindered, survivors with X crows can only slow vault windows and pallets. Only 1-2 survivors can be marked at a time. The mark is removed when a survivor is hooked or when a 3rd survivor is marked. The oldest mark is removed when this happens.
Perk 1: afk crows appear if a survivor stays still for a shorter period of time. This includes working on generators or healing. This "timer" wouldn't drop to 0 immediately once a survivor moves, but would decay rapidly. This is to prevent a survivor from working on a generator and peridocially moving a bit to reset the timer. The time for crows to give active notifications would be between 30 and 40% of generator completion to encourage survivors to leave a gen in search of another. Locker crows would appear more quickly and create a noise notification when the survivor leaves the locker similar to how crows work on the boat in the swamp.
Perk 2: Crows attack downed survivors slowing their recovery and crawling speed.
Perk 3: Crows do not fly from your presence. Crows that fly away return in a shorter period of time (this effect does not stack with this killer's power). While within X meters of a crow, killers can see the auras of survivors within X meters of a stationary crow.

Eye for an eye.
When the killer is hit with DS, they are granted a 3/6/8ms speed boost to movement, vaulting, carrying, hooking, grabbing, and breaking gens for 60secs.
This would be a nice lil counter to DS, and make people a lil more scared and tactical when using it..

Maybe it could also count to being blinded and/or being downed by a pallet so its less situational since not everyone will have DS but this will also make survivors worried about punishing the killer.
Actually ironic that the Killer I am doing is actually based by the one in London but is not crow related but that 2nd perk out of all could be ingame easily since the time and speed could be affected on how far away the crows are from the dying survivor. Like for instance if the survivor is super far away then it has no effect but if the survivor is close or close enough that the crows don't have to fly far then the time recovery and crawling speed is based on how close they are to the crows but returns to normal once they are far enough that the crows wont bother the survivor anymore.

Actually since you thought of decent perks what perk ideas you think will fit a gentleman killer? Like a person in old Victorian clothing that strikes in the shadows?

i posted a seperate thread about this but you can use this if you want
-a perk that increases killer movement speed outside of chase,
to fit with your killer it could be called like "hunter shroud"

Seems like a good perk but might need some tweeks so it wont be OP some certain characters.

if you really think that you could make it so it only effects basic walk speed. (so crouching and cloaked isnt boosted) but idrk tbh.

I mean like a mechanic like pay with your food but something different like how many gens you smashed or how many people you wounded or even how many you downed.

Question, Does "The Shadow” work like a Claudette does?
0 -
First 20 seconds of a match see all survivor aura's
0 -
Umm 20 seconds seems to long and is op maybe tone down the seconds, like 10. Not 20!

Snare the greedy
Whenever a survivor finishes searching a chest their aura will be revealed to the killer and the killer gains the undetectable status affect for 7/10/12 seconds.
"What's yours is mine"
Hex: Shadow Sight
For every dull totem left on a map all survivor auras within a 20/25/30 meter radius will be revealed to you. Survivor cleansing speed is reduced by 5%

Not really but has the same functions as Ghost face with the crouching and leaning against walls but no exposed status unless you use one of the addons. He will have his heartbeat hidden when his power is active and you can't look at him to kick him out unless you pallet him or he misses his attack Once he stalks you he will have a certain amount of time to see the survivor's aura of the one he stalked and if he hits them then they will get the broken status but if some one does a protection hit then the protector will get Hemorrhage and Oblivious. If this does not seem to work then it will work the opposite way so that the protector will get broken status and the stalked survivor will get Hemorrhage and Oblivious for a certain amount of time. And again if the status seems to weak or over powered I will change it but stalking with shown aura will be the same. Also I will see if I can try to work in a side effect of the power which makes the map darker overtime for all players to make it a real horror game.
I do like that first perk a lot since if they are next to a gen while doing that then you know where to go.

Oml I’m sorry I meant it as a joke for what I said, but still The Shadow sounds like a great killer!

I was just calling out those Blendettes

Perk that increases movement speed when walking on scratch marks while not in chase
0 -
Most times it takes 20-40 seconds to walk across the map at the start of a round, whatever amount the perk gives it should at least give the killer time to get across the map, and be in chase for 5 seconds. Especially since you would be playing the rest of the game with only 3 perks.
Possibly have it only work on the Obsession, if it's too powerful being at 20 seconds. Less time, but only the obsession.

Cripple: Reduces the speed bonus received by survivors hit with a killer power or basic attack (25/35/45%). Numbers are w/e but that's the general idea for the perk.

Sounds like a good perk since survivors tend to use run away perks,
0 -
Big Spins - Allows survivors to 360
Steroids - Allows killers to lug around multi-pound blades while hunched over and sprinting.
0 -
What do you mean about multi pound blades?
0 -
Their weapons.

Yeah it would be a hex perk. This is only the level 3 version. Whenever this hex totem is up 3 survivors will have the broken effect once injured. This effect lasts until the totem is cleansed. Level 1 would be 1 survivor effected and level 2 would be 2 survivors. This might be too powerful tho.

Actually, if you visit my page I have two chapter ideas. Perks and all, but I got some you can use.
•Foresight
Scratch and Blood marks last 3/5/8 Seconds longer.
•Call to Action
Anytime a survivor fails a co-op action there aura will be shown for 3/4/5 Seconds.
•Following Shadow
Survivors who complete a generator by themselves shall be put in the exposed state for 20/30/40 Seconds.
•HEX:Finishing the Job
Upon hitting a survivor, their speed bonus is reduced by 15%/20%/30%

I would love to see following perks:
- A perk that destroyes dropped pallets automaticly
- A perk that punishes fast unhooks
- And a other perk that reduces your hit cooldown, a different one than save the best for last
0 -
Call to action is a unique one and maybe also reveals their auras when the killer gets closer but I really do like the Following Shadow perk since it does fit the killer I am working on pretty well.
Think first one is spirit fury but 2nd might be a option if done right like besides unhooks it can punish people who are gen rushing or doing co op which causes what they are doing to go faster so a perk that can punish them might be a good way to look at it.
Thank god I made this forum and there is helpful folks in this community. I also redid some of the lore to make it more interesting so going to take a bit of time but also doing some concept art since turns out people love to see what the killer will look like. So thanks again to the people who are giving out great ideas.

Glad I can be a service. I think of perls too much and I thought of the idea of Rancor, Haunted Ground, Deliverance, and Poised before they became actual perks. And I hold them close to my heart even if I don't use any😅.
