Question Regarding God Loops/"Infinites"
Comments
-
Like i said, maps with god loops already have more than enough strong paletts and windows for survivors to work with
Tell me a valid reason why those loops are fair.

you beautiful bastard! I just wanna take that picture and just look at it all day long.
0 -
Holy crap guys, they're actually fixing the Ironworks window.
7 -
Wouldn't it be faster to just vault this window than go around it? That's the problem I have with breakable walls - they are quite useless. It would be better if there would be breakable windows instead that can be damaged by killer or have limit of uses.
0 -
Ok cool let's rework maps to reward killers that don't understand how to effectively use their power or know when to abandon chases. Maps should have relatively stronger and relatively weaker locations. Especially when windows like that are often near the basement. But I guess let's pander to the vocal killer mains on this forurm. The funny thing is map like Hawkins and Lery's are FAR more killer sided than Iron Works is survivor sided (Didn't even make top three) yet we don't hear anything about those being reworked. I especially love the new pallets on maps like saloon where the killer can "mindgame" by strafing back and forth and get a hit in three seconds.
2 -
Well they had to make up for the pandering survivors got with ruin nurse spirit a worse breakable wall location instant deathslinger perk nerf etc..
2 -
If you truly believe that Nurse and Spirit didn't need a rework I invite you to get past rank 12 as a survivor and learn to play the other side :)
2 -
I got survivor down pretty good reeee killer has a power nerf reee killer has an addon nerf reee you tried to down me but it hasnt been 1 hour since ive been unhooked reee you spawned on the map your camping reee your not letting me and my team get free unhooks reee gens are boring they should be done in 5 seconds perfect rank 1 survivor
3 -
Just like God loops needed a nerf as well after all that time.
3 -
Yes because there wasn't enough counterplay between entity blocker, bloodlust, learning when to drop a chase, mindgames, bamboozle, and maybe USING YOUR POWER. There are killers who unironically believe that killer shack is an infinite as well and maybe they should not be leading the balance discussion.
1 -
Absolutely, as soon as ALL maps are reworked and ALL the bullcrap loops are fixed.
4 -
All these holes in the walls are very good news! This announces the removal of the bloodlust, this mechanism rewarding bad killers and punishing good survivors. <3
2 -
As soon as all the maps are reworked and this crap fixed on all of them, absolutely!
0 -
It's still going to be a pretty strong tile if you run the right direction. It will probably end up like cow tree. Not nearly as OP, but still strong when looped correctly.
0 -
I have never seen or heard from someone calling the shack an infinite.
Sure there are some killer that can combat god loops, but what about killers like legion or Leatherface?
Nothing that you listed was a direct counter to god loops except maybe bamboozle and certain killer powers.
Then again why is the killer supposed to run a certain perk to combat bad map design?
It's like saying survivors are supposed to use Spine Chill and Resilience to not get hit through windows.
5 -
"Many people are frustrated with these kind of loops because there is no counter play to them (unless you use certain killers or perks)"
Those are my favorite types of replys. There is no counter, unless you use what was specifically put in the game to counter it. Uhh, then there is a counter, you just said so yourself.
2 -
Or like saying survivors should have to run Calm Spirit to counter Static Blast, oh wait....
0 -
How can you compare god loops with static blast?
1 -
There are plenty of people on this forum that have called killer shack and infinite and pallet looping an exploit. Orion, the "king" is an example. They should focus on reworking killers like Leatherface and Legion because more than half the cast can use their power to stop the ironworks window. Instead, killers like Spirit and Hillbilly that already have a huge advantage are now easier to play. Also, survivors have to run perks to counter maps and killers as well. If you spawn on Hawkins or Lery's against a stealth killer you need Spine chill, if you're playing against a good spirit you NEED iron will. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect killers to have to anticipate the map they will spawn on as well.
1 -
It's the killers fault that the survivor runs for the completely safe loop? Right. . .
2 -
Arguable the most skilled thing kill can learn is time management. Learning who to chase and where is the difference between a a good killer and a great killer. I have seen many 4ks on Iron Works as a survivor because the killer knew not to chase people through the God window. If a person just humps the God window all game, they aren't doing Gens except maybe the one that spawns in the Iron Works. It's better to go catch someone in a bad position rather than chase through a strong loop. Also people seem to forget that Iron Works is a LONG loop. If I'm running an exhaustion perk I can maybe squeeze two loops out of it running the right way because of how long it is. Iron Works is strong when survivors know how to string it together with pallets and other structures, which takes skill.

People who enjoy using infinites>Killers that cries about everything.
Tbh i enjoy using infinites and playing against them. The infinites aren't that powerful as u think they are,in my case i can use them max 2 times before killer catches up to me.The bloodlust, killer power, entity blocker AND the great ,,hitboxes'' are helping the killer to catch to the survivor faster. The breakable walls are crap.
1 -
If you lose to bloodlust you are not a good survivor, you just abuse one god loop.
2 -

Sure, if you can tell me a reason why bloodlust is fair. You may not like certain things in the game and even if things the devs implement doesn't work as planned (I've said before that some of their concepts are good, but the executions are terrible), there are counters to everything that you believe is unfair and in other cases, you just got to have good skill to get the advantage. Complaining only shows your weaknesses.

let me guess:
that walk through path is gonna be a breakable wall?
:3
0 -
Well, entity blocker and blood lust pretty much exist because of god loops and are nothing more than band aid "fixes" for them.
Those great "hitboxes" are also something that needs to be fixed. There's no skill involed in either getting a hit although the survivor is already a few meters away from the window or using god loops.
Killers like Leatherface or Legion don't have anything to help them with that.
Plus fixing god loops might be the first step for more and different killer player.
0 -
i see what you did there ;)

I like everyone losing their minds over Peanits showing the ironworks change but NotQueen's reply of "Like other map changes" was ignored. Like, guys, more map rework and not just ironworks? Sounds amazing.
4 -
Yeah bloodlust is unfair and often times is abused just like god loops. Both needs to go
1 -
if they remove 3/4 of all safe palette it will go they can't keep it
1 -
Thanks for babying killers more than they already are... Might as well just give them all insta-downs as well.
1 -
If you need god loops like this to survive, maybe you're not that good of a survivor?
6 -
why yall killers crying, literally you got 26482839 pros and 1 cont, the delay when you miss a hit XDDD
0 -
Because survivors never got "babyed".
Cough Ruin nerf cough.
2 -
Oh sweet jesus, I love you guys
2 -
Killers also get bloodlust.
Use bamboozle then survivors can’t go through the window.
0 -
Or maybe you're not that good of a killer to adjust to make it to your advantage?

Fair enough.
1 -
I guess you don’t pay attention. The last two maps that have been reworked are now HEAVILY survivor-sided (leary’s and badham). Even if the ironworks becomes killer sided, the number of survivor-sided maps is laughably high.
4 -
Good*.
But again, they're called god loops for a reason. Some killers have to way to adjust other than waiting for bloodlust, which is unacceptable.
To say it once more: I'm fine with bloodlust being removed once all of these bull loops are removed.
Anyone who thinks these loops are fine is either lying to themselves or trolling.

Abusing safe pallets doesn’t take skill. Your argument is also flawed: if there are multiple gens near the iron works, there is literally nothing an m1 killer can do. If you hit a survivor off of the gen, they will then use their speed burst to run to the God loop. If the killer pursues, the gens are lost; if he/she doesn’t, then he/she never gets a hook. This is also super obvious with the middle building on asylum. God loops are broken design.
4 -
Why can’t they do something about killers being able to constantly down and kill people? Why is ghost face and legion and trapper so god damn fast? Can we get bigger maps where the gens aren’t crammed together like sardines? How about you recognize these “god loops” and avoid them? Maybe protect gens and acknowledge the fact that those other 4 people in the game with you playing survivor are trying to enjoy the game too. People are going to get caught so why is it you feel they can’t dodge you for long periods of time? How about you leave them alone and pressure gens more? Just a thought.
3 -
Why can’t they do something about ebony Mori’s? How are those fair when people camp hooks and tunnel them once they get off? You’re ignorance astounds me
2 -
There are killers that counter looping really easily. It angers me you guys can’t understand how ez it is for killers. Just acknowledge the places you should avoid and chase what seems convenient. Chase the ones that are caught out of position.
2 -
Okay so I'm convinced you're just an excellent bait account but here we go.
1) Yes how dare the killer kill people what a shocker. Are you serious, man?
2) Ghostface, Leigon, and Trapper all share the same base speed of 115% or 4.6m/s. As well as sharing it between themselves, they share it between most of the cast. Tier 2/3 Myers, Clown, Wraith, Billy, Demogorgon, Doctor, Leatherface, Freddy, Pig, Plague, and Oni. They're the base movement speed, what are you on?
3) No let's not make maps bigger and exemplify the lack of pressure and glaring game flaws currently. How about instead we do what we should be doing and decreasing map size to allow most of the cast to stand a chance, and then adjust survivor accordingly. That sounds much better.
4) Yeah, because when survivors always run to these loops, or when (on Disturbed ward) you need to protect the gen in the Asylumn (the good loop) to have a sustainable 3 gen, its very easy to just abandon chase. Killer is a time crunch and sometimes if you've overcommited you need that down or you lose, then the god loop happens and you've lost anyway.
5) It's not that they shouldn't be able to loop a killer--hell I've managed 5 gen runs before--but this should take skill. Not "Ooga-booga me vault window haha me good". Instead it should take into consideration teamwork, resource management, and how effectively can a survivor loop. Not just "Ha, I've made it to [Insert god loop here]! I have the high ground now!"
6) Yeah just pressure gens by not claiming the best form of map pressure which is gook pressure 5head.
7) I agree moris are a large issue that need to be looked at. But let's go with this analogy: you're completing a science experiment. There are two large issues with your experiment, one with the method and one with the reactants. There being an issue with the reactants doesn't change the issue with the method, they both exist at the same time. Shocker, I know, multiple issues can exist simultaneously. Also, it's "your ignorance" not "you're ignorance".
8) Yeah there are some killers like Freddy and... Well, that's about it, nobody else can effectively deal with God loops. Nurse is bugged but theoretically could still do it but who plays nurse these days. Spirit can't do it because the windows are safe, but she makes up for this at every other loop in the game (spirit is still bs but that's a topic for another time). Billy makes up for it with his insane map travelling ability. Everyone else? Yeah, nah, they're buggered. Good luck playing Myers against someone on a god loop.
And then if youre on a really good map, where people out of position easily get into position, or they sprint burst away, or whatever, then you just don't chase anyone, get no hooks, and lose the game unless it's opposite day.
Play killer, man. And not stridor noed spirit, she doesn't count. Then you'll see how many of your claims pretty much fall apart.
8 -
If god loops get fixed, then bloodlust should be fixed as well obviously
2 -
Why cant they do something about keys? It's a free escape when a killer plays great!
1 -
all they are doing is forcing the killer to waste their time to theoretically take some chase time away from survivors, or suffer mini god loops all over the map.
It is a bad idea and the maps should just have these areas open from the start.
That loop still looks safe if that window can't be broken. The 2.5 second vault time is just replaced by making the killer walk past the window, through the gap and back again. Meanwhile the survivor is at the end of the loop watching to see what side the killer walks up.

That one of the reason why i play less and less those loop make the game boring for me
