  • I have decided to try once again to come up with something creative. While the perks, the power of the Killer and other things may seem far-fetched, unfitting or overpowered, I still had a lot of fun writing all of this up, and I'd love to hear any feedback or other stuff that could improve for example the perks. I'm never good at making perks.
  • READ: This chapter would likely only be fitting if Keys are removed from the game. See the third survivor perk idea "Get Me Out!".

Chapter Name: "Frostbitten Memories"

Map: Oymyakon Village

  • A rather cold village engulfed in the Entity’s fog, turning it into a nasty, dark realm. Unlike other realms, this one has hazards.
  • Hazards: "Cold River" ~ A shallow river that survivors can cross via the bridges, yet they can also step in them. Doing so will make them 25% slower. This effect persists for 5 seconds after getting out of the water. Killers can also be slowed down while in this water, but not as much as survivors (Killers can be slowed down only by 5%).

Killer: The Frozen

Killer Story:

Yurasov Vasiliev was a Russian mountain climber and a sweet, old father, always caring to his sons every time they visited him. He was proud of his sons because they were already adults. Regardless of that though, Yurasov still had a passion for one thing, and that is mountain climbing. Even though his sons begged him to stop because he could hurt himself, he didn’t stop. He kept on going. His family was worried sick every time, but he always managed to come back without a scratch and even brought gifts from the local shops near the cold Russian mountains. His little hometown, Oymyakon Village, was one of the coldest places on Earth. All four-hundred habitants of this small commune knew about Yurasov and his passion. One day his sons decided to go with him on one of those mountain climbing experiences. With an unfortunate turn of events, one of his sons was accidentally pushed while climbing the mountain, by the other one, and Yurasov saw everything. Widened eyes and mouth agape, he scolded Ivan, the son who pushed the other one, and cried as Sergey fell to his death right before them. Yurasov was equipped with standard mountain climbing gear, one of which was a pickaxe. Sergey was the favourite son of Yurasov, which was a secret to him but Ivan knew about this. The brothers were never really on good terms with each other, only with their father. Filled with anger, Yurasov seemed like something was controlling him. Something evil. Something dark. Tightening the grip on his mountain climbing pickaxe, he rushed forward and swung the tip right into Ivan’s head, killing him rather instantly. Ivan’s body falls backwards, limp, right down the mountain. The splat of his dead body isn’t even heard because they were very high up. Yurasov dropped the bloody pickaxe and kneeled down on the cold ground high up in the mountains of Russia, not even able to cry properly because of shock. He looked up. The sky suddenly darkened and fog started to roll in. Rather thick, gray fog, unfitting to the whole snow and blizzardy terrain. Suddenly Yurasov wakes up in the Entity’s realm, not only that but the area seems very familiar; it’s Oymyakon Village. There were voices in his head. Suddenly he felt powerful. And warm, even though everything else was frozen, including himself. He had this sudden urge to kill. And so he did, attempting to find his next victim. Why would he kill others though? It’s his own fault that he killed Ivan. Then again, Ivan killed Sergey. Who really is at fault here? Nonetheless, the Entity has ideas and improvements.

Killer Weapon: Climbing Pickaxe

  • After hitting a survivor with the pickaxe, it becomes bloody. The Frozen shakes off the blood, taking around 2 seconds.

Killer Speed: 110% | 4.4 m/s

Killer Power: Blizzard Breath

  • The Frozen’s specialty is very cold wind. Holding down the M2 button will charge up the ability within 3 seconds, during this time The Frozen moves 30% slower, taking a deep breath. Upon releasing the button, The Frozen (moving 50% slower now) blows out cold blizzard towards the survivors for 4 seconds (within a range of 12 meters, or further depending on add-ons), slowing the survivor down depending on how much breath was blown out on them. If a survivor is hit by Blizzard Breath for 4 seconds straight, it will freeze the survivor for 15 seconds. During this time, the frozen survivor cannot be injured and cannot move, and is also affected by the Blindness status effect. Blizzard Breath has a cooldown of 40 seconds and can freeze multiple survivors. During the first 30 seconds of the power cooldown timer, The Frozen's speed is slowed down by 5%.
  • Survivors can Break Out of the ice by holding down the M1 button. This action takes 5 seconds, or longer depending on the add-ons of The Frozen’s power. Letting go of M1 will reset the duration.
  • After a survivor breaks out of the Frozen status in any way, they will have the Deep Wound and Frostbitten status effects. The Frostbitten status effect will considerably decrease the survivor's speed of healing (not mending), repairing, opening Exit Gates, opening chests, cleansing and unhooking other survivors. Frostbitten also decreases movement speed by 10%. After getting rid of the Deep Wound status effect by mending, the Frostbitten status effect persists until the survivor warms up at a Campfire.
  • There are 4 lit campfires around each realm and a singular unlit one. Add-ons of The Frozen change these numbers. The Frozen can stomp out the campfires under 3 seconds, the survivors see the auras of working campfires at all times when suffering from the Frostbitten status effect, and can rebuild and light them under 10 seconds. Multiple survivors can speed up the process of rebuilding.
