Best killer for beginners from dlc chapters
Hi
I've never played the game before (only watched streams) but finally I'm about to buy the game and I want to purchase it with a chapter. Which one should be the best for a newbie? I really liked the Huntress, but I'm not sure if I can handle her in the future

Personally a great starter killer is doc.
Helps you find survivors, has great perks against new survivors, and really helps you learn the game.

Huntress isn't bad, as far as Killers go I think she has the largest skill floor-to-ceiling ratio. If you want a good killer for new players, you could try Doctor (he's listed as hard, but its easy to find people w/Shock Blast, and two of his perks, Overcharge and Monitor, are pretty good), or Plague (also has good perks like Infectious Fright and Corrupt Intervention, her vomit will play to your Huntress experience, and of course the sideboob).

Huntress is free and is considered one of the strongest Killers in the game. You'll get her regardless.
I don't know what you're playing on, but PC has the most needed to buy, so I'll cover them all from that perspective.
The Shape - Halloween DLC. A lot of fun to play and can be pretty powerful late game. Struggles in the early game due to needing to build up his power and that power has been facing a bug recently. Also has Save the Best for Last, which is a really powerful perk, but requires understanding the Obsession system. As cool as he is, probably not the best for starting right now.
The Hag - Of Flesh and Mud DLC. Can be insanely powerful if given time to set up. Struggles early game, but makes up for it in shear power late game. I wouldn't recommend her though, not for starting out. She has a really steep learning curve.
The Doctor - Spark of Madness DLC. Really fun to play as, but most people hate going against him. He has insane tracking potential and can stall the game for a long time. Likely candidate, but you need to really understand his add-ons to get the best from him.
The Cannibal - Leatherface Paragraph. Cheapest Killer, unreliable power. I wouldn't recommend if it wasn't for Barbecue & Chili. This perk both shows you Survivor auras and gives you extra Bloodpoints to level up. I'd recommend him for that reason alone.
The Nightmare - A Nightmare on Elm Street DLC. Powerful Killer, but a little hard to pick up due to how his power works, and he technically has two powers, snares and fake pallets, in addition to putting people to sleep and teleporting to gens. I'd wait a little on him.
The Pig - Saw DLC. Extremely reliant on RNG. Has stalling potential, but that potential relies on Survivors being altruistic, not doing gens while a trap is on someone, and that someone not getting it off first try. I wouldn't start with her.
The Clown - Curtain Call DLC. He has Bamboozle and Pop Goes the Weasel, both pretty nice perks. But there's nothing really great about his power unless you know EXACTLY how to use it. I wouldn't bother with him.
The Spirit - Shattered Bloodline DLC. Really powerful Killer, but not beginner friendly in the slightest. To play her, you need to understand how Survivors think. Wait a while before getting her.
The Legion - Darkness Among Us DLC. They exist. I find their weakness to be heavily exaggerated, but they're not the best. If you want Discordance, go for them, but I wouldn't call them great for starting.
The Plague - Demise of the Faithful DLC. She's in a weird place. She can bring Survivors into a one-hit stage, but if you're not good at hitting, they have no real reason to leave that phase, which takes her other, more powerful, form with ranged vomit out of the question. I wouldn't recommend her for starting out, but take a look at her down the road.
The Ghost Face - Ghost Face DLC. As fun and powerful as he is, his power is just unreliable. Understanding him can also be pretty tricky. Not recommended for starting out.
The Demogorgon - Stranger Things DLC. There is so much going on with its power that I can't recommend it to start with. Fun as hell to play, but just as complex.
The Oni - Cursed Bloodline DLC. Some people call him a worse Hillbilly, and they're right in some regards. But he has far better tracking, doesn't lose his power when hitting walls, has a much shorter charge time in Demon Mode for a one-hit by just holding M1 for a lunge, and just feels easier to handle. Understanding how he works can be a little complicated though.
The Deathslinger - Chains of Hate DLC. Only get him to start if you've played a lot of shooter games.

I'll be playing on PC. I've been playing Overwatch for a long time now as a long-range shooter, so that might help me a bit? Can any of the killers be purchased within the game or only via dlc? Sorry for asking so many questions I just want to be sure haha

The Nightmare. Easily.
He's relatively easy to play (good if you're new to the game!) while also being a very strong killer.
Since you're new and will therefore be in low ranks: his power will almost definitely confuse enemy survivors, giving you a massive advantage when using him. And since he's an "m1 killer" he'll also be great for learning about loops & how to mindgame survivors.

Hello, it depends which role you are most interested in.
If you are mostly interested in playing Survivor, definitly get "Sparks of Madness" (Doctor DLC) because of Feng Min.
Her Perks are ideal for every beginner:
- Lithe is the best beginners exhaustion Perk and very strong too.
- Technician is the absolute perfect perk for every starter, since you will have some struggle to hit those skillchecks. This perk will help you out greatly.
- Alert is also great overall but especially for beginners. Having those aura reads all the time, will help a lot!
Her sice is also very small, so she is harder to see then most of the male survivors.
Also: The Doctor is a very good killer for you. He is very good in finding survivors due to his ability, and this is what you will struggle most as a beginner.
If you want to play killer mainly.. Leatherface aka The Cannibal is by far the optimal one!
- He is the perfect killer to start with due to his ability. It cant be more straight forward then Leatherface
- He has the most important Killer perk for you: BBQ & Chilli! 100% more Bloodpoints, thats what you need!
Good luck and escpecially have fun in DBD

I'd have to say leatherface as well. Get BB&C asap and then just try various killers to get a feel for their playstyle. You can then use the points you've earned to flesh out your favorite somewhat.
Branch out and do some archive challenges as well. Play both roles. Your experience will be a bit of everything.

I know you've decided, but I'm going to answer this question. Can any of the killers be purchased within the game or only via dlc?
Yes. All of the original Killers can be earned through playing the game. It will take a long time to do so, but you can.
Licensed ones must be bought with real money.

Ghostface ia pretty solid. If you mix up between stalking and sneaking around hitting pwoplw. His perks arent to terrible. Im all ears allows you to see where people run if they fast vault allowing you to get an idea on how people play and how they loop.
