Why is Everybody Playing Legion
Hey i been seeing a rise in people playing the legion did he get a buff or something?

He's easy to rank up with because he can hit multiple people quickly.

I got into them after going for there adept, and simply thought they were much better than many had claimed.

Easy to play, kinda fun in some ways.
Super helpful to get emblems.
People also tend to define a killer meta (to me, through my observations) as basically ease and consistency of a 4k. Legion is wildly inconsistent at higher ranks with this, and commonly doesn't perform well apparently. If they changed their meta ideas to pips and emblems, then Hillbilly would be in the middle of the pack, unless everyone switched to hammer-Billy.

A lot of people actually enjoying playing the spraying damage playstile of Legion. I find a decent amount of them around when i play as a Survivor.

It’s because legion was leaked in the next rift and people are probably raving to level him up now

Legion may be in the next Rift, and Legion isn't a terrible killer as most will lead you to believe if played and built properly.

He's not terrible unless you're going against super optimal survivors who know they need to stay spread out and just don't heal. You counter him the same way you counter plague, don't heal and his power is useless. Then he's just a plain M1 killer who can be looped unmercifully, though you do run dangerous just because of being injured.
As others have said, he gets emblems pretty easy, malicious and chaser in particular because the game counts Feral Frenzy hits like successful M1 hits as well as a won chase. Assuming he gets a decent gatekeeper and devout score you can safety pip and even single pip with him a lot easier than most killers.
I played him a lot post ruin rework, and his ability to push multiple survivors off generators also makes the new Ruin surprisingly effective on him in my opinion. He also benefits from Monitor and Abuse once everyone is injured it's a lot easier to sneak up on people for M1 hits to down them.

If I had to guess, maybe because of the 50% extra Bloodpoints?
Legion is one of the best Bloodpoint farmers.

You get easy bloodpoints and his power can also be fun to use

Multiple hits and the fact that he’s so fast that he flys by your 150% speed boost from lithe, BL, any of those. It’s ridiculous 😂 also if he runs thanat it’s kinda just not very fun as he makes everyone bleed and it’s impossible to get anything done. Plus he can slide and vault. It’s excessive.
