Playing survivor/ killer worth it?

So I've been playing the game for a while now and reaching rank 10 with both killer and survivor. I'm by no means good but i have experience and play a decent variety of killers and survivors alike. But I have a question. Is it worth me investing time into getting a higher rank on survivor and then working on killer? I want to be a better killer and enjoy the role more but im not sure if im better off just playing killer against the higher ranked survivors (Matchmaking is a bit skewed atm really ive faced a few rank 2's and 1's killers and survivors) or if i should invest more time into survivor to know how they play at a higher level. I'm obviously learning via youtube and streams as such but i wanted to know if im better off focusing my effort into just one of the play styles or the other etc.

All replies appreciated, just don't turn this into a "x is better than y" kinda discussion, want gameplay advice not a balance talk.

To play well one side you have to know how plays different side. By playing survivor you know how survivor reacts to some things, this can help you during the chase and mindgames. So I say play both roles equally, it's best you can do to improve as both killer and survivor.

Just play whatever side you feel like at the time. Probably don't play killer if you've started to lose conentration or had a few drinks. Survivor isn't as intense a game, but you still need your wits about you.

Play both and you'll have a better understanding of the mindset of them, meaning you can more effevtively counter them. Don't forsake one side for bloodpoints or Archives missions.

I play both roles, but more survivor than killer. If you want to be good at both, keep playing them both, otherwise, just play what you feel is more enjoyable at the moment.
