VERY happy with the mid chapter update
I really appreciate how the devs managed to make a lot of sensible changes without going overboard.
The co-op repair efficiency changes sound like a good way of solving a lot of early game problems. A lot of the "the gen popped before I could get there" problem stems from 3+ survivors working together on a gen. The only change I really want to make this even better is for survivors always spawning somewhat close together, but this is already good.
The map changes are actually pretty amazing. The only gripe I have with them is Mother's Dwelling not being reduced in size, but I can definitely live with that considering the other map changes coming out. Maps have been the biggest problem with DBD in a long time now, but the map that came with Deathslinger+these changes give me a lot of hope for the future. Also 18 maps getting changed is A LOT, much more than I expected the dev team to tackle at once.
The only few "disappointments", if you could call them that, is that I somewhat expected Bubba to get some love in this patch and Moris to be addressed (because I don't see a world where it's acceptable that they exist in their current state in 2020) but I understand that this patch probably took an enormous amount of work and I'm very happy about it. There's always gonna be negativity in these forums, but I've been genuinely very happy with the direction this game has been taking for the past year. No major blunders since the original Mettle of Man release, in my opinion (which was pretty tame in comparison to the catastrophe that was vanilla Legion). Good job.

While it doesn't address all the major issues we see with this game, it is touching upon some fundamental things over the past two updates, which makes me happy with the direction this game is going.
Sabotaging is back, albeit still not meta, its now something that's viable, even if its situational.
Trapper and Plague both have their powers upgraded to make them more consistent and useful.
Generator Efficiency on Survivors are reduced, thus not completely negating teamwork but making overall generator time and repair for a group less costly.
Hangman's Trick, while nerfed to the ground since PTB, is still in a better place than where it was.
I expect them to address things like a Leatherface rework or Moris/Keys in time. But I say that with more confidence, as I see they are actually making efforts to make changes to the game, rather than some bug fixes and a ritualistic Pig nerf.

Right? I genuinely can't see how people still think they're doing a bad job with the last updates. I'm still very confident that everything they've done since MoM got fixed was good for game health.
They nerfed Ruin, people freaked out. They said they'd address gens, people didn't believe them. Then we got the one-two punch of toolbox changes+gen efficiency and the map changes people have been begging for for years. I'm truly happy for DbD right now.

I admit, I was among the people who was upset with the Ruin changes. But that was mostly because they didn't really give me a reason to trust them. What, we got a Doctor rework? That's great, but doesn't make up for the Ruin nerf.
I'm redownloading it now, I'm giving the PTB a try, as it seems our feedback is finally being listened to.

"salty survivor mains" - Who's being babied here? Survivors havent had an buff in over 6+ months. This is just a quick overview of everything that's happened to Survivors since the Stranger Things update. Every patch has something to help Killers in some way shape or form, yet when was the last time SURVIVORS got a buff? And don't say "Durr Ruin Nerf!" because Ruin was useless against Purple/Red survivors.
Survivor Nerfs
Patch 3.3.1 - Insta Heals nerfed, Green Medkit charges nerfed from 24 to 16 charges.
Patch 3.4.0 - Balance Landing Nerfed to remove staggert reduction while exhausted.
Patch 3.5.0/3.5.2 - Lery's Rework (Survivor Nerf to hide totems, remove windows and add more unsafe pallet)
February 10 - Disconnect Penalties - Forces Survivors to have to play through matches, no matter how toxic the killer wants to be.
Patch 3.6.0 - Survivor Nerfs
1) Survivors can no longer sabotage Bear Traps
2) Dropped survivor wiggle progression reduced from 33% to 25%
3) Toolboxes severely nerfed to reduce charges and repair speed progress.
4) Saboteur nerfed (cooldown added) & Hooks respawn faster
5) Survivor addons nerfed to disappear at the end of each match
6) Autohaven Wreckers: Fixed an issue that allowed Survivors to use Dead Hard to get onto tires near a crane (Yet killers can still do it with Lunge)z
7) Breakable Walls added
Dev Update April 2020 - Survivor Nerf - Reduced repair speeds when working with other survivors, maps reworked to prevent survivors from being able to actually escape from a killer. Breakable walls being added to more maps.

I understand why people got upset, but I knew they would make up for it because quite frankly I never fell into the "devs are survivor sided" narrative. You can't possibly believe that if you stick to facts over emotion.

It's not 100% fixed, but it's definitely a step in the right direction.
I think the devs taking baby steps with changes like this is a good idea, but too drastic of a change could negatively impact the game.

Yeah that's exactly what I was thinking. Some people think it's too little but honestly you can't stack changes in the same direction too heavily and ship them. You have to start small and see the impact they have to the game little by little.

Agreed, with small changes they're much more prepared to handle the direction future changes will go. And in a positive manner.

It's the small things (or big thing considering maps) that will start to add up
Remember Rome wasn't built in a day... but it was ruined in 3
The devs are still working (from home) to make this a game worth having and being played

Sorry didn't read most the posts here but one thing I wanna say about mori's is if used properly, as in on death hook, I dont see them being an issue it just comes down to the person playing with said mori. Other than that I agree that the changes are going in a great way.

But as long as they have the potential to be used to just eliminate one person from the game extremely early they're unhealthy.
