Killer Tips for Newer players:
Hey there. I've been playing this game for a while now, and thought that maybe a post like this might be beneficial to other players either new to the game or just new to killer in general and have a lack of knowledge. There's been a recent issue with killers quitting the game due man factors, but its not even mainly survivors having "broken mechanics". Some perks for survivors are abit too good yes but the same can be said for killer. The difference is that survivor perks can be easily utilised (not saying there's less skill involved). For example. a perk like sprint burst (no its not broken imo but listen to the example) can be activated by sprinting at the right moment to evade a killer. Where as top tier killer perks like bbq+c, hex:ruin and NOED can be negated by destroying totem.
I just wanted to share some tips that I've either found useful or found through my research on the killer role in general. If you have any additional tips you would like to share then go right ahead, high level or low level any tip is a tip that helps.
Tips:
Pallet looping - In one-pallet loops that occur on every map, i feel the best course of action (excluding nurse, huntress and gunslinger due to their respective anti-loop powers, aswell as legion who can vault) is to just eat the pallet. If you circle round the loop in a way that the survivor cannot safely get to the next loop or exit route, then simply break the pallet and force them back into a flat out chase. Yea you waste a couple seconds, but ive looped killers for almost 30 seconds (probably stubborness tbh) so you're saving alot of time, especiialy if you down the survivor you're chasing.
Moonwalking - A very popular killer mindgame that uses your "red stain" as a bait. In the case that you have never played killer, survivors see a red light on the ground a couple metres in front of the killer in the direction they are facing. An example of this skill could be the "infinite" loop at most kill shacks/basements with the window and pallet. If you are running towards the door, you can stop for a second or two, then begin to walk backwards towards the window and most likely catch the survivor that assumed you were going for the door. Be careful as this skill requires a great deal of practice to use on most loops and can easily be called bluff by high rank survivors. More information about this skill is available in a variety of videos from killers alot better than me.
Objectives - As you're in a 1v4 situation and you cannot possibly keep track of all 4 survivors all the time then you must know their game plan. They spawned somewhere, so if you can find out where, you can figure out which gens they are most likely to start on and work around that. Patrolling so many gens is of course tedious and most times gens will pop when you're half way across the map, but playing objective is how you "win". Perks like bbq+c and other informational perks are excellent in top tier for a reason , you could hook someone, see someone on their way to save, some one walking around, and someone on a gen. Go for the guy on the gen and bam, no one is doing anything to progress the game and all because you hooked someone.
My final tip, win condition - There isn't one. There's no rule book saying "killer blah blah has to get this many kills blah blah". The objective of the game is to win points towards your emblems in order to rank up. This is why lower rank killers confuse me when they camp or tunnel. The final badge for killer, chaser, is obviously determined by your hits, chases are other factors. But, when you stay in the proximity of a hooked survivor for longer than 10 seconds (to account for trapper and hag traps being place etc) you begin to lose points. Camping is an effective strategy and im by no means saying never ever pinkie swear don't do it (because sometimes its neccesary to net one kill vs a 4 man swf at higher ranks, never camp unless you would lose a pip off your rank any other way. Neccesary evil,)
Thanks for reading if you stuck till the end, I don't mind if you disagree I'm just giving my 2 cents. I would however love it if any killers out there reading this can add on their knowledge, with all the changes come in we need all the support we can give each other to adjust for possibly a new meta.

The biggest tip I could give is to play like a robot. Don't react to the number of gens that are getting completed. Just keep going through the motions of hunting, hooking, kicking and hunting. The biggest trouble I had when starting was getting discouraged when gens would pop left and right. Once I started ignoring the idea of them being pop'ed, and just tried to pressure them, I realized that I will always lose 2-4 gens and that the goal is to get enough hooks in before the last 2 gens, in order to eliminate someone from the match. If you can make it a 3v1 with only 1-2 gens left, your chances of getting a 3-4k increase dramatically.

The only thing I'd disagree with here is that some pallets you shouldn't destroy instantly and instead should pursue the survivor first. Besides that I 100% agree with what you said.

This can work however don't do it too much and get tunnel vision, and you MUST know when to end a chase. That is the most difficult thing in this game, knowing when to end a chase because if you just can't catch whoever you are chasing and a few gens have already gone by, then you've lost the game even if you catch them. Sometimes if you just break the chase you can hook someone else who is weaker with looping or runs to a spot that has no pallets and get an easier down.

Spend time with the killers... don't just play one match with a killer then go to the next...
Play 2-5 matches as one killer, then play a match as survivor and after play a different killer (repeat)
At least lvl up killers to 15 so all perk slots are open... and check the shine when a new one is released you never know if a perk you want could be on it,or a perk that could be useful to you right now/ later on
Play with the mindset of learning every match
